ABU DHABI // Three men denied trying to rob a money exchange centre and have asked the court to seek video surveillance footage to prove their innocence. Prosecutors said on Thursday that the three had failed to rob Al Madina exchange centre because they were unable to break the locks.
The men insisted they were innocent and had confessed only under duress and threats.
The asked the criminal court to seek the shop’s CCTV footage to prove they had nothing to do with the alleged operation.
The trio were also accused of trying to rob an individual, which they also denied, arguing that the alleged victim was unable to identify them during police investigations. They asked the court to summon the victim so they could face him.
The case was adjourned until June 24.
