Turkey gets Six Senses
Turkey will get its first Six Senses resort on May 1, when the hotel group takes over the management of the Canyon Ranch Wellness Resort at Kaplankaya, on the country’s south-western coast. The property is situated in a wild area of the Aegean coast, a 50-minute drive from Bodrum, and has 141 guest rooms and 154 private residences. Fourth Four Seasons opens in Florida
A new Four Seasons hotel, incorporating a historic 1930s building, has opened in Miami. The Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club in Surfside, in the North Beaches area of Miami Beach, has 77 rooms, three pools, several restaurants, and a spa and wellness centre, as well as beach access. Over the years, the Mediterranean Revival building, then a private members’ club, hosted dozens of notable guests, including Shah Mohammad Reza of Iran, Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra, Noël Coward and Tennessee Williams. Now three new buildings flank the original clubhouse.
