A 500 kilogram stone, embedded with more than 170 carats worth of emeralds, is currently on show at the International Jewellery & Watch Show Abu Dhabi.
Dubbed the world’s largest emerald-embedded stone, this natural marvel has travelled outside of its native Brazil for the first time. It stands 114.3 centimetres high and contains at least 138 emerald crystals, which range in colour from opaque variegated green to dark green, and are up to 230 millimetres in size.
Taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center until May 6, the 25th edition of the International Jewellery & Watch Show Abu Dhabi is open from 4pm until 10pm. It is presenting 130 exhibitors from 20 countries and was inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.
