Lexus has introduced the LX 700h, marking a significant advancement in its luxury SUV lineup. This model features a newly developed hybrid system, combining a 3.4-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 457 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain not only enhances performance but also offers an improved fuel economy, with an EPA-estimated combined rating of 20 miles per gallon.
The LX 700h is built on the GA-F platform, which reduces overall weight and increases structural rigidity. This foundation supports both on-road agility and off-road capability, aligning with the Lexus Driving Signature that emphasizes a responsive and refined driving experience. The vehicle’s suspension system includes a double-wishbone front and multi-link rear setup, designed to handle diverse terrains with ease.
A notable addition to the LX lineup is the Overtrail grade, available exclusively on the LX 700h. This variant is tailored for off-road enthusiasts, featuring 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels, front and rear locking differentials, and a 2,400-watt AC inverter. The Overtrail’s exterior is distinguished by a matte gray grille, black door handles, dark gray roof rails, and black overfenders, projecting a rugged aesthetic. Inside, it offers semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats in Black or Stone Brown, complemented by Black Open Pore wood accents.
Safety remains a priority, with the LX 700h equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 as standard across all grades. This suite includes advanced features such as Traffic Jam Assist, Front Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Assist, enhancing driver awareness and vehicle safety in various conditions.
The infotainment system has been upgraded to include a 12.3-inch full LCD meter screen, providing clear and accessible information to the driver. Additionally, the Mark Levinson audio system has been expanded from 19 to 25 speakers, delivering an immersive sound experience throughout the cabin.
The LX 700h also introduces practical features for outdoor activities, such as a waterproof battery and AC inverter, allowing the vehicle to traverse water depths up to 700mm. This capability ensures that the hybrid components remain protected during off-road adventures.
The starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for the LX 700h is $106,850, which includes the Delivery, Processing, and Handling Fee. This pricing positions the LX 700h competitively within the luxury SUV market, offering a blend of performance, luxury, and advanced technology.
