‘Dry’ night for UAE restaurants and bars for Israa wal Miraj

ABU DHABI // Restaurants, bars and clubs around the UAE will not serve alcohol for 24 hours in observance of Israa wal Miraj.

The dry night will begin on Sunday before sunset at about 7pm and remain until Monday at the same time, Dubai Tourism Authority said.

Public-sector employees have been given a long weekend to mark the religious holiday and will return to work on Monday.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources said private-sector employees who have one-day weekends will have Saturday, April 22, off work, returning to work on Sunday, April 23.
