Form Five boy surrenders to police in Gang 24 probe – Nation

KLANG: A Form Five student surrendered himself to the police Saturday over investigations into the group of students celebrating in honour of Gang 24 outside a school here last week.

The boy, of SMK Sri Andalas, was accompanied by lawyer Gerard Lazarus when he went to the South Klang district police station.

He was among over 40 people ages between 14 and 17 assisting police in the probe after a videoclip of the celebration held outside SMK Sri Andalas on April 21 went viral.

According to Lazarus, the boy will be brought to the Klang magistrates court Sunday morning to be remanded.

Police had gone looking for the boy at his home in Taman Sentosa Friday night, when seven students were picked-up from their homes in various locations here. The boy was not at home.

Police started arresting the students after a video of them merrymaking went viral.
