Shakir Noori is an Iraqi author and journalist currently based in Dubai. Educated at Baghdad University, l’Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Science Sociales and the Sorbonne, Shakir lived in Paris from 1977 to 2004, as a student and journalist. Since moving to Dubai, he has worked for Alrajol Alyaum magazine and Emirates Alyaum and Alalam newspapers and currently works as Editor of the Culture supplement of Al Bayan newspaper. He also contributes articles for Gulf News. He interviewed a number of well known French and International personalities and had strong ties with cultural foundations.
