
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has unveiled its newest server, the ProLiant Compute XD685, designed to accelerate the development and training of artificial intelligence (AI) models. This cutting-edge server is a result of a collaboration between HPE and AMD, focusing on providing high-performance infrastructure tailored for the growing demands of AI applications, such as large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), and multi-modal learning.
At the core of the XD685 are AMD’s 5th Generation EPYC processors and the AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators, which together promise significant boosts in computational power and energy efficiency.
