The three Emirati ladies (who are sisters) were visiting London, with three children aged between 7-12 years, when they were attacked by a hammer in the early hours of Sunday morning at the Cumberland Hotel. The children were unharmed but all the women suffered serious head injuries.

One victim was still in a critical condition while the other two, though still in hospital, had injuries .

Detective Superintendent Carl Mehta of Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC), said on Tuesday (8 April), “We also understand hotel room security was not breached and the door to the family’s room was unlocked at the time of the incident.
