ABU DHABI // The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology has forecast possible light showers in the eastern mountainous regions of the country during Thursday and over the weekend.

But it said the weather will generally be pleasant with partial cloud at times.

The fresh northwesterly winds may kick up dust in some internal and external areas of the country.

With an increase of humidity by tonight and early on Friday morning in the coastal and internal parts of the country, motorists were warned to exercise caution as fog may form.

During the weekend, the sea will be rough, becoming moderate by the afternoon in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Oman Sea, the centre said.

The maximum temperature in the internal parts of the country will hover between 38°C and 42°C and at a minimum of between 16°C and 21°C. The humidity level will reach up to 90 per cent.
