Manchester by the Sea stars Casey Affleck as Lee Chandler, who becomes the guardian to his teenage nephew Patrick (Lucas Hedges) after the boy’s father, Lee’s brother, dies. Returning to his hometown of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, brings back memories for Lee, including what led him to leave for Boston. The film is nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director for Kenneth Lonergan and Best Actor for Affleck.
