51m riders used Dubai Metro in Q1 2017

The Rail Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) confirmed that the Dubai Metro (comprising the Red and Green Lines) had lifted 51.371 m riders during the first quarter of this year, compared with 49.913 m riders served by the metro during the first quarter of last year i.e. recording a 3% increase rate.

During the first quarter of this year, the Dubai Tram has served 1,601,076 riders compared with 1,338,601 riders served during the first quarter of 2015 recording a growth rate of about 20%.

Mohammed Al Mudharreb, Director of Rail Operation, RTA, reiterated RTA’s commitment to achieving the highest rating of happiness to all community members as reflect in deploying safe, secure and robust transit means fitted with the highest technology of the industry.
