The American Legal Center, a thought leader in the immigration industry, has announced its next seminar in Dubai, where a team of US licensed lawyers will discuss upcoming changes to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program and how investors can prepare themselves for the December rush.
The seminar will be held on Saturday, October 30 at the Address Skyview in Downtown Dubai. The event will also provide insight on the basics of the program, including timeline, required documents, and processes, as well as the benefits and latest trends.
The U.S. residency by investment program, called the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program, is the most popular investment-based immigration options between foreign nationals in the Middle East and North Africa region looking to immigrate to the United States.
The EB-5 program was created by the Congress to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. In short, the program provides investors the opportunity to obtain U.S. Green Cards for themselves and their qualifying family members, which includes spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21, by investing $500,000 in a new commercial enterprise, with which a minimum of 10 jobs must be created for U.S. persons. The program has gone through drastic changes over the course of the past two years, including but not limited to a price increase from $500,000 to $900,000 in November 2019, a price decrease from $900,000 back down to $500,000 in June 2021, and lastly the lapse of the program on the 30th of June of this year due to a lack of reauthorization from Congress.
The general consensus between EB-5 industry leaders and experts is that the program will be reauthorized by Congress on December 3rd of this year. However, once the program is reauthorized, there may be a short window of opportunity to file an application at $500,000 before a price increase back to $900,000. Thus, families looking to apply for their Green Cards through the EB-5 program should align their documents, and have their file ready when the window of opportunity opens.
With over 12 years of expertise in the EB-5 industry, Shai Zamanian, the Legal Director of The American Legal Center, a top immigration consultancy based in Dubai, is urging applicants to collect their documents to catch the next filing window. “Our goal is to help as many families as possible to begin their migration journey to the United States before a price increase occurs,” says Zamanian. “We are urging our clients to act swiftly in gathering their documents to be ahead of the curve in the December rush.”
The seminar will be divided into two sessions, one at 1:00 pm and another at 3:00 pm. RSVP to +971 52 446 6095 or [email protected] to learn more.
