During the visit, the SEDD delegation got familiar with DEWA’s operations management approach, and the quantum leap it has achieved, along with the technical features and benefits of DEWA’s queuing system and experience in controlling the key performance indicators of service quality, and the applicable quality assurance mechanism.

The ENOC delegation got to know about the recent innovative experiences and technologies in processes and services transformation relating to resources and technical and commercial operations planning, as well as information security management and governance. The ENOC delegation was received by Faisal Al Dashti, Acting Chief Information Security Officer, Hatem Al Shafei, Senior Manager of Projects and Key Accounts Management – Innovation and Future Division, while the ENOC delegation was headed by Abdul Majeed Malik, Director of Information Technology.

The ENOC delegation was introduced to DEWA’s IT strategy and the state of the art technologies it adopts in information security. The delegation visited DEWA’s electronic security centre, the first of its kind in Dubai, which takes precautionary procedures to reduce the potential electronic security risks. This includes 24/7 surveillance on technical assets and services, and effective management of security incidents and electronic threats, as well as the SAP system, IT main challenges and how to overcome them.
