Empower successfully concludes its participation in "World Future Energy Summit"

H.E Bin Shafar: “Empower boosted cooperation with many international energy companies at the summit”

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 22 January 2017

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (EMPOWER), the world’s largest district cooling service provider, successfully concluded its participation in the 10th World Future Energy Summit (WFES), as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2017, which was held from 16th to 19th January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre

Empower team worked actively from the first day of the summit, displaying the model of the company’s plant in Business Bay, and highlighted its efficiency and contribution to improving the cooling service with highest international standards. The team also highlighted the plant’s role in conserving energy and saving the environment.

HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, said: “Our participation in the World Future Energy Summit was very fruitful. In addition to showcasing our newest achievements in the cooling technology and energy management systems, we were able to view the newest developments in energy sector, and latest discoveries in energy management. We established cooperation with many international energy companies and international expertise houses to increase our efforts toward more effective usage of energy in the cooling industry”

Bin Shafar confirmed that the World Future Energy Summit inspired Empower to devise new innovative methods which represent long term strategies and plans in various energy sectors to increase the efforts towards renewable and clean energy.

“Empower will in the future be the hub of many pioneering initiatives in different fields of energy, especially district cooling technology. These initiatives will be part of UAE Energy Strategy 2050 and Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. We are following the steps of our leadership who puts the future of energy as priority to guarantee the economic growth and prosperity of our country,” he added.

Bin Shafar concluded: “The goal behind our participation in many local and international events is to establish strategic partnerships with different governmental and private organisations. We believe that cooperation is the ideal solution to achieve growth in all fields. In the future we are going to increase our efforts on local, regional and international levels, thus laying a solid foundation that will guarantee our leadership position.”

Empower currently operates more than 1.2 Million RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World trade Centre Residences, Dubai Design District, among others.
