Konica Minolta hosts Middle east distributors conference in Dubai

Dubai, January 26, 2017 UAE

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Middle East, held its annual Middle East Distributor Conference recently, at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Dubai. More than eleven distributors from across the Middle East were present at the event. With a theme of “Driving Smarter Workflows”, the one-day long conference featured informational presentation, educational discussions, future strategy, and demonstrations of Konica Minolta hardware, software, and managed print services.

The event, which kicked off with a reception on Tuesday and a group welcome dinner, marked the start of the conference on Wednesday morning, with presentations by Konica Minolta, Middle East Managing Director Kazuo Kobayashi. He was followed by Konica Minolta Inc., Japan, General Manager, Sales Operations, Tadahiko Sumitani, who outlined the Konica Minolta global strategy and future plans.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Middle East Managing Director Kazuo Kobayashi opened the conference by highlighting Konica Minolta’s recent achievements, including the company being named as best large employer from the Forbes 2016 list. Koybayasi went on to say “there has been a slight decline in the market this year, however we expect it to remain stable during 2016/17 and our challenge will be to increase sales by 12% growth during 2017.

During the speech, Mr Kazuo Kobayashi said “The conference certainly gives us the perfect platform to connect with our partners and distributors, it also enables us to keep them informed on the latest products, services, and technologies offered and supported by Konica Minolta, as well as gain instrumental insight on the company’s future direction. It is important as we grow our business going forward, we continue to listen to our customers and maintain excellent account management.”

Mr Kazuo Kobayashi was followed by Business Development Manager Mr. Nayyar Ansari, who presented the printing production road map and future strategy for 2107. Following Mr. Ansari was Konica Minolta Marketing Development Manager Mrs. Pauline Brooks, who presented Konica Minolta Business Solutions marketing review for the year 2016 and 2017. Ms. Brooks outlined some of the recent developments and planning for the forth coming Gulf Print event, to be held in Dubai during March.

Mr Kazuo Kobayashi also gave excellence performance awards to the top-performing distributors in the Middle East region.
