DUBAI // A total of 80,710 traffic violations were booked by We are All Police, a community-driven police initiative, between January and November this year, official figures show.

Brig Saif Al Mazrouie, Director, General Directorate of Traffic, Dubai Police, said 28,180 violations were caught by camera, 52,280 violations were registered by military personnel and 38,163 were registered by individual volunteers, state news agency, Wam reported.

“May has outnumbered other months, registering 9,510 violations compared to January, which registered the lowest number of violations at 5,520,” Brig Al Mazrouie noted.

He said the initiative encouraged members of the community to assist the police by reporting reckless driving over the toll-free number 910.
