Um Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah students showcase their innovations at the UAE Innovation Week 2016

UAE students from different schools continue to showcase their unique innovations at the UAE Innovation Week 2016, which is being held from 20-26 November, under the umbrella of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Learning Program (MBRSLP), the main incubator of creativity at the nation’s schools.

Ras Al Khaimah students take care of the environment and help people with special needs

A group of students from Ras Al Khaimah’s schools showcased a range of impressive innovations at the UAE Innovation Week 2016, including a solar powered car.

Students from Al Dhait School invented an alert tag for the people with special needs, to be attached to their cars. The tag will be used to ensure the special parking slots are used by disabled people and to send a sound alert to police in case of any violation.

Students exhibited soap made from organic ingredients, which is a natural, environment-friendly and skin-friendly product.

Students of Al Hamham School invented a greenhouse; a structure with glass walls and roof, in which plants requiring regulated climatic conditions are grown. They installed a cooling fan to keep the weather suitable for the plants.

Other students invented smartphone application that helps students and teachers access all the smart learning websites, including educational program videos.

A group of students invented a trash collector robot and a smart car equipped with a sensor to avoid obstacle and select the best track.

Umm Al Quwain students invent a desert air-conditioner

Students from Falaj Al Mualla School in Umm Al Quwain introduced a number of smart and innovative solutions, including a desert air-conditioner made from raw materials. Another female student developed a smart screen that obscures the vision of the neighbouring people and keeps the privacy of the user. It is an excellent solution for those who work in sharing offices.

Students from Hatem Al Taaey School innovated a solar powered roaming robot. Another female student invented a mechanical hand to be used to train people with special needs on manipulating the surrounding objects easily and safely.
