An experience previously only available to professional drivers or gentlemen racers, the Circuit is now offering members of the public the unique chance to drive a race-prepared Ferrari 458 GT on the world famous track at the home of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This is a limited opportunity and will only be available at DriveYAS between 16th-30thMarch.

While its road-going sibling, the Ferrari 458 is a capable machine in its own right, the modifications made to the GT model have transformed it into a totally different beast. Starting from scratch, Ferrari outfitted the 458 GT with new brakes, and made extensive use of carbon fibre throughout the body work as well as composite parts to reduce weight. Additionally, the engineers at Modena also added the legendary E-Diff differential and race-ready suspension system to provide the car with total control on track.

The partnership visitors the chance to experience the performance of this vehicle at Yas Marina Circuit, whether as passengers or behind the wheel. A menu of single experiences includes adrenaline pumping hot laps or a total driving experience. With an astonishing 570-horsepower, the 4.5-litre, V8 of the Ferrari 458 GT promises an exhilarating on-track experience.

The cost for the Ferrari 458 GT experience is AED4,000 and customers will walk away with a video on USB recorded from the on-board cameras so guests can re-live the experience.

Phil Ellis, Yas Marina Circuit’s Driving Experiences Manager, said: “With the introduction of this unique vehicle, we now offer a comprehensive range of various driving packages to suit the most adventurous thrill seeker.

Part of DriveYAS, the Ferrari 458 GT experience at Yas Marina Circuit will be availble every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5pm and Saturday from 1pm to 10pm during the month of March only. Due to limited availability, the Circuit advises guests to book in advance to ensure their place.
