Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry will play a pivotal role in creating new connections and collaborations as an official partner.
As an official partner, Dubai Chamber will represent and support the interests of the UAE business community at Expo 2020, helping to connect them with international businesses, innovators, investors, and international chambers of commerce to create new avenues of long-term commercial success.
The agreement to this effect was signed by Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General, Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, and Hamad Buamim, President and Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on the sidelines of the two-day Global Business Forum Africa in Dubai on 18-19 November.
During the 173 days of Expo 2020, between 20 October 2020 until 10 April 2021, Dubai Chamber will be present at the Expo 2020 Business Connect Centre, a dedicated space to host chambers of commerce and trade facilitating entities from around the world, as well as global investment firms, venture capitalists, and other business enablers that help foster connectivity and collaboration across borders.
Dubai Chamber’s support will continue long after the World Expo closes, at District 2020, when the urbanisation of the Expo 2020 site will reveal a smart and sustainable district and provide an innovation-driven business ecosystem.
