UAE weather: Strong winds and rough waters

AJMAN// Temperatures are expected to drop slightly today as a result of freshening winds keeping the air cooler.

Strong north-westerly winds will turn the waters rough in the Sea of Oman and very rough in the Arabian Gulf. Anyone partaking in watersports or heading out to sea is advised to do so with caution.

Inland gusts of up to 55 kph will blow dust and sand over exposed areas leading to low visibility at times, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology reported.

Temperatures will vary between 24°C and 38°C along the coast and range between 23°C and 42°C inland.

Partly cloudy skies and haze are forecast for Thursday, with humidity expected to pick up and potentially lead to fog on Friday morning.
