UAE weather: Temperatures continue to climb as weekend winds die down

ABU DHABI // Temperatures will continue to incrementally climb today as light to moderate winds offer minor relief from the heat.

Fair to partly cloudy skies are forecast across the country, except for in the eastern areas where more clouds may form this afternoon, with occasional periods of haze.

Temperatures will range between 35°C and 40°C along the coast and between 40°C and 45°C inland. Those living in the more mountainous regions of the country can expect temperatures between 25°C and 30°C today.

The lowest temperature recorded on Sunday morning was 19°C in Damsa at 3:30am, according to the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology.

Humidity is expected to be high, ranging from 80 to 95 per cent, in the internal and coastal areas, and will thicken overnight and early on Monday morning, increasing the chance of mist formation.

Sea will be slight to moderate in both the Sea of Oman and Arabian Gulf.
