HTC One X10 Image Leaks, Mid-Range Handset's Launch Inching Closer?

HTC is poised to debut a slew of devices at its MWC event on Feb. 27 and news of the older-gen handsets vanishing from carrier’s website have surfaced online, suggesting that they are making way for newer handsets.

Close on the heels of this news comes another surprise for HTC fans as the successor of the HTC One X9, dubbed the One X10 has leaked online.

Images of the mid-range handset from the HTC have leaked online on Weibo and were spotted by AndroidPolice, and offer a glimpse into the device. The leak suggests that the One X10’s debut is inching closer.

HTC One X10: What Do The Images Reveal?

One of the images shows off the front of the smartphone that has the protective screen sticker with the HTC One X10 logo on top of the display. This suggests that the smartphone has been taken out of its boxed packaging and snapped up.

Interestingly, this image does not match the older picture which was leaked by Evan Blass, who goes by the Twitter handle @evleaks, earlier in January. The image shared by Blass showed off a blue variant of the One X10, whereas the current leak shows a gray variant.

Moreover, the bezels on the latest leaked renders seem to be a lot less when compared to the older leak.

However, both the leaks have somethings in common – the presence of the fingerprint scanner on the rear of the HTC One X10 for instance. The second image in the current leak shows off the rear of the impending smartphone and shows the security feature located on the back panel. The fingerprint sensor is located below the primary camera and one can also espy the flash. The HTC branding is clearly visible on the rear of the One X10 which is rumored be codenamed the HTC E66.

The leaked images also reveal that the HTC One X10 will sport a unibody design and deploy an aluminum body. That the smartphone will include features like a fingerprint sensor and have a metal body despite being a budget offering will excite consumers.

HTC One X10: Rumored Features, Price And Release

The One X10 has already received a Bluetooth certification in December 2016 and is rumored to be poised for a Q1 2017 debut.

The smartphone will reportedly sport a 5.5 inch FHD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it will supposedly house an octa-core MediaTek Helio Cortex-A53 P10 clocked at 1.9 GHz and 3 GB of RAM.

The HTC One X9 successor will possibly deploy Mali-T860 GPU. The device will reportedly offer 32 GB of on-board storage. Camera capabilities wise, the smartphone will apparently benefit from a 16MP primary snapper and an 8MP selfie camera.

The budget offering from HTC is expected to be priced around the $288 mark and the One X10 may debut alongside the HTC 11.
