Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan take the London Underground

The Ruler and Crown Prince of Dubai were photographed on the London Underground in pictures posted online on Monday.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince, were pictured casually riding the Tube with other London commuters on the Central Line.

Sheikh Hamdan posted the photo to his official Twitter and Instagram accounts on Monday. The Instagram photo had 101,000 likes within three hours of being posted.

A video was also posted by Aletihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National, which shows them sitting on the metro while the next station, Mile End, is being announced.

The pictures and video went viral in the UAE, with the Arabic-language London hashtag trending on Twitter on Monday evening.
