Watch a screening of the ­visually stunning 1951 Jean Renoir film The River as part of the Cinema Space series. The film has been restored with the ­support of Martin Scorsese’s The Film Foundation. It is based on the 1946 novel of the same name by Rumer Godden, a coming-of-age story about three young women growing up on the banks of the Bengal river.

The Family Fang, directed by Jason Bateman, is about siblings Annie and Baxter (Nicole Kidman and Bateman), who return to their family home in search of their elderly parents, who are famous performance artists, but have disappeared. Despite their complicated relationship with their parents, Baxter is worried that something has happened to them, while Annie is sure that it’s a staged event for a performance. The film is based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Kevin Wilson. Comedy drama, also starring Kathryn Hahn, Christopher Walken, Maryann Plunkett and Frank Harts.
