Watch a screening of the visually stunning 1951 Jean Renoir film The River as part of the Cinema Space series. The film has been restored with the support of Martin Scorsese’s The Film Foundation. It is based on the 1946 novel of the same name by Rumer Godden, a coming-of-age story about three young women growing up on the banks of the Bengal river.

Buy tickets now for the Abu Dhabi Festival, which runs from March 14 to 31 and features a mix of artists across a variety of genres and nationalities, opening with Saudi singer Mohamed Abdo. Register for The Climb to Abu Dhabi, a vertical marathon up an iconic Abu Dhabi tower. Elite categories will compete in a time-trial format, climbing 82 floors, 1,617 steps, while family, school and community categories will compete in 32 floors (720 steps). The Family Fang, directed by Jason Bateman, is about siblings Annie and Baxter (Nicole Kidman and Bateman), who return to their family home in search of their elderly parents, who are famous performance artists, but have disappeared. Despite their complicated relationship with their parents, Baxter is worried that something has happened to them, while Annie is sure that it’s a staged event for a performance. The film is based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Kevin Wilson. Comedy drama, also starring Kathryn Hahn, Christopher Walken, Maryann Plunkett and Frank Harts.
