Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange has listed the Boreas Solactive Quantum Computing UCITS ETF under the ticker QUANTM, offering investors exposure to 25 companies pioneering quantum computing technologies. This marks the first thematic ETF of its kind on ADX, and joins 16 other ETFs already trading on the platform.
The new fund tracks the Solactive Developed Quantum Computing Index, representing firms active in hardware, software & algorithms, and communication & sensing segments of quantum computing. Global tech giants such as Alphabet, Amazon, IBM, Microsoft and Nvidia are among its constituents. The index has delivered about 29.4% compounded annual growth since 2017, based on back-tested data.
Lunate, the Abu Dhabi-based investment manager behind the ETF, now offers the region’s investors an instrument that blends blue-chip stability with exposure to high-growth quantum themes. Solactive, the index provider, uses its ARTIS® natural language processing methodology to select and weight the firms according to their relevance to quantum computing.
ADX’s market for ETFs has more than doubled in market capitalisation over the past year, reaching AED 1.7 billion by the end of August 2025, up from AED 790 million in the same period in 2024. ADX leadership say the listing supports ambitions to deepen liquidity, broaden investor choice, and bolster Abu Dhabi’s standing as a financial hub.
Quantum computing is viewed by industry analysts as a transformative technology capable of accelerating breakthroughs in fields spanning medicine, materials science, energy systems, climate modelling, financial risk analysis and cybersecurity. The global market for quantum technologies is projected to grow from approximately USD 1.6 billion in 2025 to around USD 7.3 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate exceeding 30%.
Sherif Salem, Head of Public Markets at Lunate, described the fund as a “landmark moment” for its clients, both institutional and retail. Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO at ADX, stated that quantum computing holds potential to reshape multiple industries and that the ETF listing is part of a strategy to diversify available investment choices for investors in the region.
