Dubai—Dell Technologies asserts it commands more than 24 per cent of the UAE’s data centre server market, signalling a strong foothold in a region where demand for digital infrastructure is surging.
Samer Al Jayyusi, Specialty AI & GenAI Regional Lead for Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa at Dell, made the disclosure at GITEX Global 2025, emphasising that national institutions have shown growing confidence in Dell’s solutions. He said the UAE’s technology vision and investment in data centre expansion have positioned the country as a regional hub.
That share figure places Dell among the strongest contenders in a UAE server market that Mordor Intelligence estimates at around USD 2.80 billion in 2025, with projected growth to USD 7.36 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 17.5 per cent. The firm said the UAE is a key hub for broader Middle East and North Africa expansion, where regional server and data centre markets are expanding at more than 30 per cent.
Dell’s claim aligns with its broader strategy: the company has recently raised its long-term revenue projections from 3–4 per cent to 7–9 per cent annual growth, citing accelerated demand for AI-capable servers. It also raised its expected adjusted earnings growth to 15 per cent per year, driven by AI infrastructure sales to clients such as xAI and CoreWeave.
The UAE server market sees intense competition. Major global players include Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Lenovo, IBM, Cisco, Huawei, Inspur and Super Micro. The edge computing trend, AI workloads, and demand for high-density racks and blade servers are reshaping vendor positioning. In the UAE specifically, edge data centres are projected to grow at 19.5 per cent annually from 2024 to 2030.
Analysts warn, however, that Dell’s claimed lead must be assessed carefully. Market share percentages can vary depending on definitions. Dell’s figure pertains to “data centre servers” broadly, but it is unclear whether it includes hyperscale, enterprise or regional deployment segments.
