“Gyp” is now consider by some to be offensive, but “jip” is OK?
My only experience with Gypsies was seeing a number of Gypsy women and children begging on the street, pretending they were asking for donations for American Indian children. This was a very long time ago; by now those children are approaching Social Security age.
