Security analysts emphasise that Salt Typhoon’s use of kernel-level rootkits like Demodex, anti-forensic tools, and exploits against network hardware showcases a remarkably advanced capability intended to evade detection and maintain persistence.

Canadian and American agencies are now collaborating to assess the damage, harden network defences, and trace the full extent of Salt Typhoon’s access.
