A company tied to two people mentioned in the Panama Papers database paid $8.2 million for a unit at Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach.

Records show Collins 2154 LLC, led by Luis Armando Barrera Palacios and Emma Rosa Macchiavello Teevin, acquired unit 2301 at the 60-story, 132-unit building at 18555 Collins Avenue.

Both Barrera Palacios and Macchiavello Teevin are mentioned in the data leak from Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca of offshore companies, although little information on them is available online. The pair listed their Regalia unit in June for $10.65 million. Onega Global II LLC owns the Regalia condo. Douglas Elliman listing agent Oren Alexander told The Real Deal at the time that the owners are selling their unit at Regalia because they were moving to another condo building in South Florida.

Porsche Design Tower has seen its fair share of noteworthy buyers since it opened in November. Records have revealed other owners at the tower, including the daughter of an alleged mobster, who paid $5.2 million for unit 1505; Russian Chingiz Askerov, who owns commercial and residential real estate in Moscow like the Domodedova Shopping Mall and paid $5 million for unit 1605; and Mexican billionaire Carlos Peralta Quintero, who paid $6.54 million for unit 1101.

This week, a buyer listed a unit she closed on in December for $7 million, seeking to flip it for $10 million.

Dezer Development, led by Gil Dezer, plans to launch another car-branded condo tower soon, he told TRD last year. Porsche Design, which is known for its patented car elevator called the “Dezervator,” has an estimated $840 million sellout. At least 100 unit closings have been recorded in Miami-Dade County records so far.
