Dinner in the Sky is coming to Dubai. Arguably the world’s most unique dining concept, Dinner in the Sky takes guests 50 metres up, suspended by a crane, to enjoy a meal.
The gravity-defying dinner will be offered for a limited time during the festive season, with the crane to be set within the Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection in Dubai.
During these dinners, a small group of diners will be secured in bucket seats while suspended from a crane. The minimal wait staff — and a host — will also be secured by safety harnesses. There will be daily lunch, brunch and dinner seatings available for guests, served from 11am to midnight.
The Dinner in the Sky concept was introduced 10 years ago in Belgium and Germany and since then, it’s popped up in more than 40 countries around the world. Forbes.com has it listed as one of the 10 most unusual restaurants in the world. It was last in the UAE in 2013 during a one-night only experience in Abu Dhabi. Ahmed Ishbair, owner and CEO of Dinner in the Sky in the UAE, says, “We are delighted to bring back this exciting experience and look forward to hosting tourists and residents alike.”
The concept will start serving sky-high meals on December 15. Once tickets are available, daring foodies can buy one online at www.dinnerinthesky.ae or at a reception desk at the location.
