The flagship mixed health club spans nearly 24,000 sq ft at Q-East, a luxury destination positioned around creative, retail, food, entertainment and wellness concepts. The opening marks FITCODE’s third Dubai location and extends the brand’s presence beyond its established clubs at Tilal Al Ghaf and Nad Al Sheba.
The new club combines a full gym floor, four dedicated boutique studios, a HYROX Performance Zone, personal training areas and recovery facilities designed for members seeking a more comprehensive fitness experience. Its format reflects a broader shift in Dubai’s wellness sector, where high-income residents, entrepreneurs, athletes and lifestyle-focused consumers are increasingly seeking integrated clubs rather than conventional gym memberships.
FITCODE Q-East includes dedicated Reformer Pilates, cycling, heated MINDBODY and Energy studios, with group classes powered by PLATFORM. The studios are designed to cover strength, mobility, endurance, low-impact conditioning and higher-intensity training. The heated MINDBODY space is a first for the brand’s Al Quoz offering, widening its appeal to members looking for yoga, stretch and mobility-based sessions in a controlled environment.
A dedicated HYROX Performance Zone is among the central features of the club. HYROX, a global fitness-racing format that combines running with functional workout stations, has grown rapidly among competitive and recreational athletes. FITCODE’s Al Quoz facility is designed to support structured programming, workshops and performance training for members preparing for fitness-racing events, while also serving those seeking measurable endurance and strength gains.
The gym floor features equipment from Technogym, Precor, Eleiko and Hammer Strength, including Eleiko lifting platforms, an extensive glute training range and cardio equipment aimed at both general conditioning and performance work. The layout has been developed to allow continuous movement, strength training, private coaching and functional workouts within the same facility.
Recovery is positioned as a major part of the membership proposition. The club includes KULA cold plunges, Hyperice recovery tools, Normatec compression technology, Milon fascia stimulation, infrared salt sauna and steam facilities. These services reflect growing demand for post-training recovery, mobility and wellness support, particularly among members who view fitness as part of a wider lifestyle routine.
FITCODE has also added Efzin Fresh Café to the Q-East club, integrating nutrition and hospitality into the member experience. The café offers performance-focused meals and recovery-oriented beverages, supporting the brand’s strategy of turning the club into a social and lifestyle destination rather than a purely exercise-based facility.
Q-East’s location in Al Quoz is central to the positioning of the new club. The district has been moving beyond its older industrial identity, with galleries, creative businesses, cafés, concept stores and lifestyle venues drawing a younger and more design-conscious audience. Q-East is being marketed as a destination for entertainment, arts, culture, retail and wellness, with the fitness club expected to act as one of its main anchors.
The club also benefits from strong road connectivity, with access from Sheikh Zayed Road and proximity to Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Hills, Jumeirah, Kite Beach and Dubai Marina. Covered parking for members adds to the premium positioning, particularly in a city where convenience remains a key factor in gym choice.
George Flooks, chief executive officer of Arada’s fitness division, has described FITCODE’s expansion as evidence of strong demand for comprehensive, high-quality fitness experiences. The Q-East launch aligns with Formative and Arada’s broader strategy of building wellness-led lifestyle assets alongside residential, retail and hospitality projects.
The opening comes as Dubai’s fitness and wellness industry becomes more segmented. Budget gyms continue to expand, but the premium end of the market is increasingly shaped by boutique studios, recovery-led wellness spaces, personal training, data-informed fitness and hospitality-style service. Clubs are competing not only on equipment, but also on design, instructor quality, recovery facilities, community and food-and-beverage integration.
