A unique combination of classic vehicles and classic rock draws crowds to Wallsburg

OREM, UT, UNITED STATES, August 3, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — The Richard W. Erickson Foundation, a Utah-based non-profit organization dedicated to preserving early American history for the local community, today announced the details of the annual Wasatch Boomerfest festival, held August 25-26th at the Antique & Classic Power Museum and grounds in Wallsburg.

Boomerfest, a staple of the region, is held in collaboration with the local Continue Mission organization, which serves Veterans and referred Service Members with service-connected physical, mental, and emotional injuries; and their family/support members. All net proceeds from Boomerfest are donated directly to Continue Mission to further their work in providing free-of-charge events, suicide prevention and mental health awareness and a sense of community for veterans.

“We are proud of our partnership with Continue Mission and the lives that they touch,” said Russell D. Baker, Chairman of The Richard W. Erickson Foundation. “Boomerfest is designed to bring joy to people all over the Wasatch Front, through family-friendly entertainment, live music and a wealth of activities. The chance to extend joy to more individuals with Continue Mission is a privilege.”

Attendees at Boomerfest can expect a weekend full of classic rock by live bands, including local favorites Moe Low, Geneva Road, Seasoned Amnesia and Cactus Cola. In addition to the music, there is plenty of festival atmosphere in the form of food trucks, craft vendors, vehicle rides, and full access to the Antique & Classic Power Museum’s collective of classic automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, and tractors.

Both RV and tent dry camping is available on the grounds for those who want to spend the weekend. The campground opens at 5:00 pm the day before the event.

“Boomerfest is the capstone festival in our summer season,” continued Baker. “We expect a great turnout this year, after the high attendance we experienced at both The Antique Power Show and TedFest held earlier this summer. It is a fun and unique experience, and it is for a good cause. People always enjoy the show.”

Gamma Law Managing Partner David B. Hoppe Chronicles the Rise of Web3

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, USA, August 2, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — Gamma Law Managing Partner David B. Hoppe takes Japanese readers on a journey through the digital media environment that led to the meteoric rise and subsequent turmoil of the NFT market, the development of blockchain/crypto use cases, and the emergence of Web3.

With the Japanese publication of Chapter and Metaverse: Legal Trends and Developments in Web3 and NFTs, Hoppe delivers a nuanced interpretation of the court cases, business models, risks, and opportunities that have created and continue to define the metaverse, extended reality, video gaming, NFTs, DAOs, and the entire digital revolution. With chapters such as “Sell the Sizzle, Not the Stake” and “Hold My Beer – NFTs, Alcohol, and Intellectual Property,” many of Hoppe’s hot takes are both insightful and irreverent.

Similar to his previous book, Esports in Court, Crimes in VR, and the 51% Attack, the essays in the book capitalize on Gamma Law’s early adaptation to Web3 legal challenges.

“As a first mover in the blockchain/crypto/NFT space, Gamma Law is uniquely positioned to counsel and represent clients that leverage these technologies – video games, film, art, luxury goods, and more,” Hoppe said. “Those industries are all represented in the book which also touches upon Jay-Z, Bill Gates, Justin Bieber, Serena Williams, and other pop culture icons buying (or declaring that they would never buy) NFTs. And while many articles deal with securities law, intellectual property, and contracts, I endeavor for a light touch in explaining the issues and legal foundations.”

Chapter and Metaverse tracks both the chronology and businesses’ adoption of Web3 technologies, notes Naoko Okumoto in the book’s preface.

“The book delves beyond the events within the NFT realm to consider the issues, challenges, and market dynamics that give rise to trends,” she writes. “Author David Hoppe, one of the world’s first attorneys to recognize and specialize in the legal ramifications presented by digital innovations such as extended reality, eSports, interactive media, and NFTs, is uniquely qualified to offer his considered perspectives.”

Chapter and Metaverse is available on Amazon in Kindle ebook and paperback editions.

MILFORD, MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, August 2, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — Bert Kreischer is a household name in the world of comedy. Known for his energetic stage presence and his ability to make people laugh until their sides hurt, the stand-up comedian, podcaster, television host and actor has recently been exploring a new passion: Disc Golf. Bert originally found the sport in college, but rediscovered it in Texas while looking for different ways to spend more time outside, especially while on tour. Since falling back in love with Disc Golf, Bert has been a vocal advocate for the sport on his podcast and in media appearances, notably discussing it on shows like The Rich Eisen Show and The Joe Rogan Experience.

Bert is now taking his fandom to the next level as he prepares to attend the Discraft Great Lakes Open, the first Disc Golf Pro Tour Playoff Event of the 2023 season, and Bert’s very first professional Disc Golf event!

Bert Kreischer initially rose to fame through his stand-up comedy routines and his popular podcasts, 2 Bears, 1 Cave,Bertcast, and Open Tabs, as well as his cooking show, Something’s Burning. His fame took a leap when his popular 2016 standup routine inspired a feature film aptly titled The Machine (2023), co-written and starring Bert himself. The comedian’s journey into the world of Disc Golf, one of the world’s fastest growing sports, has been no less thrilling. Bert has popped up in the YouTube feed of disc golfers more than once over the years, featured Disc Golf in his own content and graciously appeared on Disc Golf specific YouTube channels like Foundation Podcasts. Kreischer sees Disc Golf as more than a pastime, going out of his way to recognize the sport’s accessibility, supportive community, and health benefits.

Later this month, Kreischer will be in attendance at the Discraft Great Lakes Open! Recognizing Kreischer’s enthusiasm for the sport and his massive fanbase, Discraft has made a move to expand the VIP fan area – aptly dubbed the “Bert Zone” – with additional bleachers, tents, and a large video board to enhance the spectator experience. Fans will have the opportunity to participate in the larger than life experience for themselves.

In addition to the “Bert Zone”, fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive Bert Kreischer discs. This unique memorabilia centers around Bert’s love for Disc Golf, inclusive of commemorative items worthy of any disc golfer’s collection.

Bert’s participation in this year’s Discraft Great Lakes Open is not just about watching the best Disc Golf pros in the world; Bert is also lending his celebrity status to a good cause.
