The cause of the submarine’s sinking remains under investigation. Authorities have yet to determine whether mechanical failure, human error, or environmental factors contributed to the disaster.

This incident draws attention to previous maritime accidents in the region. In November 2024, the tourist yacht Sea Story capsized in the Red Sea, leading to multiple fatalities and highlighting concerns over maritime safety standards.

The Egyptian government has initiated a comprehensive investigation into the submarine’s sinking. Maritime safety protocols and the operational standards of tourist vessels in the Red Sea are under scrutiny. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has expressed condolences to the victims’ families and emphasized the importance of stringent safety measures to prevent future tragedies.
