BankDhofar Strengthens SME Support in Line with Oman Vision 2040

In alignment with Oman Vision 2040, BankDhofar is reinforcing its commitment to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by rolling out innovative financial solutions and services. As part of its strategic approach, the bank has introduced tailored lending products specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of SMEs across the Sultanate. This initiative is critical for fostering economic growth and increasing employment opportunities for Omani nationals.

Recognizing the vital role that SMEs play in the national economy, BankDhofar has established a dedicated SME Unit within its corporate banking offices in Muscat, Sohar, and Salalah. This unit focuses on providing cost-competitive and flexible credit options, such as long-term and short-term loans, working capital loans, and bill discounting. The aim is to enable SMEs to capitalize on growth opportunities, expand operations, and invest in innovation. The bank also offers expert advisory services, market insights, and strategic direction to help businesses navigate challenges and unlock their full potential.

To further support SME clients, BankDhofar leverages cutting-edge digital tools that streamline banking processes, enhance convenience, and ensure efficient cash management. This includes comprehensive trade finance solutions that facilitate cross-border transactions and mitigate risks, opening doors to global markets.

In addition to these financial solutions, BankDhofar has launched the SME Business Banking Account, which simplifies the account opening process and provides features such as POS connection support and a Wage Protection System (WPS) for efficient payroll management. The bank also offers specialized credit and debit cards tailored to the unique needs of SMEs and a payment gateway for online transactions.

BankDhofar’s dedication to supporting SMEs is also reflected in its efforts to empower Omani nationals through training and leadership opportunities. The bank’s Performance Academy offers extensive training programs to enhance employee performance and productivity. This initiative ensures that the bank’s workforce is equipped with the skills needed to support SME clients effectively.

As part of its broader commitment to Oman Vision 2040, BankDhofar has achieved a significant milestone in Omanization, with 92% of its workforce now comprising Omani nationals. This includes placing talented Omanis in key leadership positions, ensuring that the bank’s growth and development are driven by local expertise.

By aligning its strategies with Oman Vision 2040, BankDhofar continues to play a pivotal role in supporting the SME sector, driving economic diversification, and fostering sustainable development in Oman【6†source】【7†source】【8†source】.
