On Saturday, 22nd February 2025, the NCM reported fair to partly cloudy skies, with humidity rising during the night and into Sunday morning, leading to potential mist formation over internal areas. Winds are anticipated to be light to moderate, predominantly from the northeast to southeast, with speeds reaching up to 30 km/h. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
As the week progresses, the weather is forecasted to become increasingly dynamic. Sunday, 23rd February, may see a continuation of fair to partly cloudy conditions, with cloud cover intensifying by night, particularly over coastal and northern regions. This increase in cloudiness could result in light rainfall in these areas. Temperatures are projected to rise slightly, and late-night winds may freshen, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h. Maritime conditions will vary from slight to moderate, with the possibility of rough seas westward by late night and into Monday morning in the Arabian Gulf.
Monday, 24th February, is expected to bring a mix of partly cloudy to cloudy skies, especially over northern, coastal, and eastern areas, accompanied by a chance of rainfall. A noticeable drop in temperatures is anticipated, particularly in western regions. Winds will shift to a northwesterly direction, freshening over the sea and potentially causing blowing dust over land, with speeds up to 40 km/h. Sea conditions are forecasted to become rough at times offshore in the Arabian Gulf, while remaining slight in the Oman Sea.
The trend of unsettled weather is set to continue into Tuesday, 25th February, with dusty and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions prevailing over several areas, notably in the northern, coastal, and eastern regions. There remains a possibility of rainfall, coupled with a further decrease in temperatures. Northwesterly winds are expected to strengthen, reaching speeds of up to 55 km/h, especially over the sea, leading to rough to very rough sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough seas in the Oman Sea.
