Lawsuit Served by Founders Legal on Behalf of Jenka Lab against One-Stop Game Solution for Alleged Counterfeiting

DULUTH, GEORGIA, USA, August 25, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — Attorneys Kennington Groff, Zachary Eyster, and Melanie Lane of Founders Legal (Bekiares Eliezer LLP) filed a legal action on behalf of Jenka Lab, LLC against One-Stop Game Solution, LLC dba GGC Industries. The lawsuit was served on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the Southern Amusement & Entertainment Expo.

The complaint centers on alleged anti-counterfeiting actions related to Jenka Lab’s popular amusement machines, including gaming systems such as Aurora, Northern Light, Favorite Skill, and others. One-Stop Game Solution is accused of selling unauthorized, poor-quality counterfeit versions of these games, leading to significant financial and reputational damage to Jenka Lab.

Jenka Lab is fighting to hold One-Stop Game Solution accountable for their actions, demanding the cessation of the illicit games’ distribution and sale, and compensation for damages. Based on the information available and the belief in its accuracy, One-Stop Game Solution is operating under the name GGC Industries to gain access to the Southern Amusement & Entertainment Expo. However, the expo organizers shut down the booth before the event started, preventing GGC Industries from exhibiting at all.

The lawsuit alleges trademark infringement, false designation of origin, unfair competition, trademark counterfeiting, copyright infringement, and misappropriation of trade secrets.

This lawsuit follows a previous legal action earlier this year against Crazy Software for similar allegations of intellectual property infringement. The current lawsuit against One-Stop Game Solution continues this vital work, reflecting Jenka Lab’s ongoing efforts to protect its innovative gaming products from unauthorized imitation and counterfeiting showing relentless commitment to defending its intellectual property rights.

New law will prohibit people who commit animal cruelty from owning pets

Stronger laws needed to prevent cruelty before it occurs

WASHINGTON DC, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — Today, Animal Wellness Action and the Center for a Humane Economy issued a statement on news that a new law in Texas will make it illegal for people with animal cruelty convictions to have a pet or live in a house with a pet for at least five years.

“It is critical that people convicted of animal cruelty prove that they have turned a corner and can safely live with animals,” said Julie Marshall, national communications director for Animal Wellness Action. “Cruelty to animals is a crime of violence and it is socially abnormal behavior. It’s often an indicator of a larger pathology.”

This new law is broad, and offenses include dogfighting, cockfighting, attacking an assistance animal or cruelty to a non-livestock animal.

Both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate have issued the Fighting Inhumane Gambling and High-Risk Trafficking (FIGHT) Act, and the authors hope to include the provision as an amendment to the Farm bill. Both pieces of legislation were driven by concerns for the barbarism of animal fighting, other criminal behavior comingled with it, and disease threats to poultry posed by transporting fighting roosters.

The FIGHT Act, amending Section 26 of the Animal Welfare Act, would enhance the enforcement opportunities by banning simulcasting and gambling of animal fighting ventures; halting the shipment of mature roosters (chickens only) shipped through the U.S. mail (it is already illegal to ship dogs through the mail); creating a citizen suit provision, after proper notice to federal authorities, to allow private right of action against illegal animal fighters; and enhancing forfeiture provisions to include real property for animal fighting crimes.

Organization calls for stronger laws to deter animal fighting and burden on law enforcement

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — Today, Animal Wellness Action and the Center for a Humane Economy issued a statement on news that 16 roosters were rescued during a cockfighting and animal cruelty investigation by Lorain County officers. The birds and other animal fighting paraphernalia were recovered.

Wayne Pacelle, President of Animal Wellness Action helped write the state’s felony-level anti-cockfighting law and issued this statement:

“Ohio has felony-level penalties for cockfighting, and it’s amazing that people continue to risk their freedom to stage fights between animals,” said Wayne Pacelle, president of Animal Wellness Action. “Cockfighting is a form of malicious cruelty, and we must mete out strong penalties for perpetrators to root out this behavior in Ohio.”
