HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 31 December 2025 – DL Holdings (1709.HK) announced yesterday that its subsidiary, DL Securities (Hong Kong) Limited (“DL Securities”), has received conditional approval from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) to provide virtual asset trading services under an omnibus account arrangement. DL Securities has accepted the conditions imposed by the SFC in respect of the upgrade of its Type 1 license to include virtual asset trading services as of 29 December 2025, and will commence virtual asset trading services upon receiving the SFC’s formal approval. This milestone marks DL Securities’ official entry into the small group of comprehensive financial institutions in Hong Kong that simultaneously hold full licenses for both traditional securities and virtual assets.

DL Securities’ formal approval as a licensed virtual asset service provider means that the sizeable digital asset and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization landscape being built by the Group will be delivered to global investors through a compliant, secure, and efficient channel — representing a critical step toward the inclusive-finance vision of “Investing Made Simple.”

Following the license upgrade, DL Securities plans to open omnibus accounts with OSL — one of the SFC-licensed virtual asset trading platforms in Hong Kong — to provide professional investors with secure and efficient execution services, including virtual asset trading and conversion between virtual assets and fiat currencies. The Company will implement stringent Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures, perform continuous monitoring and risk assessment together with the platform, and conduct knowledge assessments for clients to ensure that services operate under the highest compliance standards.

To ensure prudence and regulatory alignment, DL Securities will strictly follow the additional conditions of the SFC and conduct virtual asset transactions via omnibus accounts on SFC-licensed platforms. Meanwhile, services will primarily target professional investor clients within its existing Type 1 regulated activity (securities dealing). This demonstrates that while embracing digital-finance innovation, DL Securities will continue to uphold Hong Kong’s rigorous regulatory framework and remain committed to delivering secure and compliant virtual asset services to high-net-worth clients.

Ahead of many licensed brokers whose roles remain focused only on “distribution,” DL has already established forward-looking strategic layouts in both asset digitalization and digital-asset investment, building a solid asset foundation for future business expansion. In terms of innovative RWA tokenization, the HK$500 million DL Tower located in Hong Kong’s Central district has formally commenced tokenization, with an initial tranche valued at HK$60 million. At the same time, the Group has completed the tokenization plan for its HK$312 million equity interest in the ultra-luxury U.S. real estate project ONE Carmel, aiming to pioneer an innovative shareholder-return mechanism. In addition, the Group has completed tokenization of nearly HK$40 million equity stakes in leading technology companies such as ByteDance and Kraken, enriching the diversity and growth potential of its digital-asset portfolio.

In terms of strategic investment in digital assets, the Group has likewise advanced its deployment. In computing power, nearly ten thousand high-performance mining rigs have been procured, generating close to two Bitcoins per day. The Group has also mapped out an additional HK$800 million digital-asset investment pathway, including HK$560 million into computing power and HK$240 million into tokenized gold assets. Cooperation with digital-asset asset-management platform Antalpha has achieved substantive progress, with an initial allocation of nearly HK$40 million in gold tokens completed. Meanwhile, continued investment in the fintech platform NeuralFin has delivered outstanding results — the platform’s valuation has reached HK$546 million and it has officially initiated preparations for U.S. listing, further strengthening the Group’s integrated digital-finance ecosystem.

Approval of the virtual-asset license provides crucial regulatory support for DL Securities to introduce the Group’s scarce, high-quality virtual-asset and RWA products to the broader investment market in a compliant and secure manner. Going forward, DL Securities will be able to offer professional and institutional investors compliant trading and professional advisory services covering mainstream digital assets such as BTC and ETH, as well as proprietary real-estate and equity-type RWA products. High-quality physical assets and frontier digital assets — once characterized by high thresholds and low liquidity — can now be transformed into fractional, tradeable digital rights, allowing broader groups of investors to share in the dividends of technological and asset-value growth.

Against the backdrop of global asset digitalization, RWA tokenization is becoming a key direction of financial innovation. While Chinese Mainland remains prudent toward such businesses, Hong Kong SAR — guided by a clear, stable, and internationally aligned regulatory framework — is actively assuming the role of a “testing ground.” Seizing this window of opportunity, DL has leveraged its deep understanding of the Hong Kong market, completed its virtual-asset deployment ahead of peers, and successfully obtained a pivotal license. This not only reflects DL’s strategic foresight but also its active participation in building Hong Kong into a global virtual-asset hub — firmly capturing first-mover advantages.

Mr. Andy Chen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DL Holdings Group, stated:”This approval of our virtual-asset license is a milestone that has come naturally. DL has long ceased to be a bystander waiting for the license—we are already deeply engaged, holding substantial high-quality digital assets and RWAs. The license is a key — it opens the door for us to provide compliant services to investors worldwide. Looking ahead, DL will fully leverage our capital strength, asset reserves, and ecosystem advantages to become a trusted bridge connecting traditional finance and the digital-finance world.”

This license upgrade represents an important milestone in the Group’s deepening digital-finance strategy and embrace of fintech innovation. It is expected not only to significantly enhance business diversification and revenue potential but also to position the Company strongly in the digital-asset markets of Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. Through rigorous compliance frameworks, professional teams, and deep collaboration with licensed platforms, DL Securities will provide professional investors with secure, efficient, and transparent virtual-asset financial services. Following the upgrade of Type 1 to include virtual-asset trading, the upgrade procedure for its Type 4 license (advising on securities) is also currently under final SFC review.

Unitree Robotics’ G1 humanoid robots have stepped into the spotlight of China’s live entertainment scene, performing as synchronised backup dancers during a Wang Leehom concert that drew about 18,000 people, marking a striking crossover between advanced robotics and mainstream pop culture.

The performance unfolded as the pop star launched into a high-energy segment of his show, with several G1 units emerging alongside human dancers. The robots executed coordinated flips, spins and arm movements in time with the music, mirroring choreography designed for human performers. Large screens magnified the spectacle, prompting audible reactions from the crowd as the machines kept pace under concert lighting and sound conditions.

The appearance was not framed as a technical demonstration but as a fully integrated part of the show, underscoring how humanoid robots are moving beyond laboratories and industrial floors into public-facing roles. For Unitree, a Hangzhou-based robotics firm known for its quadruped robots and growing humanoid portfolio, the concert offered a high-visibility platform to display balance control, motion planning and real-time coordination in an unpredictable environment.

Wang Leehom, a globally recognised figure in Mandarin pop with a career spanning more than two decades, has long embraced technology-driven stagecraft. His decision to feature humanoid robots aligns with a broader trend in China’s entertainment industry, where concerts increasingly rely on immersive visuals, augmented reality and sophisticated stage automation to differentiate live experiences.

The G1 robots, which stand roughly human height and are designed for agility and interaction, performed without visible safety tethers, suggesting confidence in their stability systems. Industry observers noted that executing flips and rapid directional changes in close proximity to human dancers requires precise sensing and control to avoid collisions, highlighting advances in perception and actuation.

Beyond the spectacle, the performance has reignited debate over the role of automation in creative industries. Some performers and choreographers have voiced concern that robots could displace human dancers in certain settings, particularly for repetitive or physically demanding routines. Others argue that such technology will function as a complement rather than a replacement, opening new creative possibilities and reducing costs for large-scale productions.

Producers familiar with concert logistics point out that hiring and training large dance troupes can be expensive, especially for tours spanning multiple cities. Robots, once acquired, can be programmed for consistent performances and reused across shows, potentially lowering long-term costs. At the same time, upfront investment, maintenance, transport and technical support remain significant considerations.

China’s push into humanoid robotics provides important context for the performance. The sector has been identified as a strategic growth area, with companies racing to develop machines capable of operating in human environments. Demonstrations in factories, warehouses and research centres have been joined by public showcases designed to familiarise audiences with humanoid forms and capabilities.

Academic researchers note that public acceptance is a critical factor in the deployment of service robots, particularly those designed to interact closely with people. High-profile cultural events can soften perceptions and shift robots from abstract technological concepts to tangible participants in everyday life.

Social media reaction to the concert was swift, with clips of the robots’ dance routines circulating widely on Chinese platforms. Commentators praised the novelty and technical polish, while others questioned whether audiences were witnessing a glimpse of entertainment’s future or a carefully staged publicity exercise. The buzz itself has amplified Unitree’s brand visibility at a time when competition among domestic robotics firms is intensifying.

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 18 December 2025 – Another international law-related organisation has unveiled plans to set up a regional base in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

The General Assembly of the Italy-based International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) decided (December 11) on the establishment of its UNIDROIT Asia-Pacific Liaison Office (the Office) in the HKSAR, further strengthening the city’s positioning as a centre for international legal and dispute resolution services.

It will be UNIDROIT’s first regional presence outside Rome in the 100-year history of the independent intergovernmental organisation, which works to modernise and harmonise private international law, especially commercial law.

The International Institute for the Unification of Private Law will establish its Asia-Pacific Liaison Office in Hong Kong
The International Institute for the Unification of Private Law will establish its Asia-Pacific Liaison Office in Hong Kong

China has been a member of UNIDROIT since 1986, while the HKSAR has participated in the work of UNIDROIT as part of the Chinese delegation.

The Office is expected to open at the Hong Kong Legal Hub in the second half of 2026, coinciding with UNIDROIT’s centenary celebrations next year. Its presence in Hong Kong could also contribute to facilitating coordination and creating synergies among the “three sisters of private international law”, namely UNIDROIT, the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

The Legal Hub, located in the city’s central business district, already houses a number of international law-related organisations and institutions, including HCCH Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (ROAP) and the DoJ (Department of Justice) Project Office for Collaboration with UNCITRAL.

In recent years, the DoJ has been collaborating very closely with UNIDROIT, including co-organising biennial Asia-Pacific International Private Law Summit in the HKSAR since 2022 and joint seminars in Rome in 2023 and 2025. Legal professionals in both the private and public sectors from the HKSAR are seconded to the secretariat of UNIDROIT annually, pursuant to the Memoranda of Understanding signed between DoJ and UNIDROIT in 2021 and 2022.

The ROAP of HCCH was set up in the HKSAR in 2012. Since its establishment, ROAP has played a significant role in increasing awareness and understanding of the importance of the HCCH and its instruments among states and stakeholders, as well as contributing to the smooth implementation and operation of the HCCH’s instruments in the Asia-Pacific region.

A new collaborative landmark was achieved earlier this month (December 3) with the staging of the Symposium of the HCCH Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific on Private International Law. The symposium was co-organised by the HCCH and the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Academy of the DoJ, as part of the Hong Kong Legal Week 2025. It marked the first time that the DoJ has co-organised an event with the HCCH during Hong Kong Legal Week.

With the staunch support of the Central People’s Government, the HKSAR has been actively participating in the working groups, meetings and activities of the HCCH as part of the Chinese delegation since 1997. Through a standing arrangement with the HCCH, Hong Kong legal talent from both the private and public sectors have the opportunity to be seconded to the Permanent Bureau of the HCCH at the Hague, gaining valuable insights into the work of the HCCH in the field of private international law.

Earlier this year, the headquarters of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed) officially opened in Hong Kong (October 20), further cementing the city’s prominent role as an international legal services hub.

The headquarters of the International Organization for Mediation officially opened in Hong Kong in October 2025
The headquarters of the International Organization for Mediation officially opened in Hong Kong in October 2025

The IOMed is the world’s first intergovernmental international legal organisation dedicated to resolving international disputes through mediation, and providing an important mechanism for upholding the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.

It fills an institutional gap in international mediation and serves as an important public good in the field of the rule of law for better global governance.

The IOMed will provide a pathway for countries – regardless of culture, language and legal system – to resolve international disputes based on mutual respect and understanding.

Other international intergovernmental organisations such as the Bank for International Settlements, International Monetary Fund, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Finance Corporation have set up offices in Hong Kong. Together with the soon-to-be-established office by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, these establishments will further complement the city’s strategic position as a centre for international legal and dispute resolution services.

A rare exhibition tracing an eight-year cross-cultural art journey between rural Yunnan and Singapore, showing how long-term youth art education can transform confidence, community and connection.

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 18 December 2025 – MOCA Singapore presents 3001 KM: Eight Years Between Us, in partnership with PureView Art Foundation, one of the region’s few long-term cross-cultural youth art practices. The exhibition brings together drawings, letters, photographs and archival materials documenting an eight-year journey between rural Yunnan and Singapore, showing how sustained art education can transform confidence, community and connection.

The title references the straight-line distance between Dagaji Village in Yunnan, China, and Singapore. It also reflects the time, trust and relationships nurtured through PureView’s long-term engagement with children in rural and underserved communities.

“PureView does not aim to change every child’s destiny. Instead, we hope to open a small but real window at a moment in their growth so they know that someone in the world sees them, listens to them and believes in them,” said Dr. Jie Li-Elbrächter, Founder and Curator of PureView Art Foundation.

Long-term engagement across five rural regions

The project began in 2018 when PureView volunteers first arrived in Dagaji Village, a rural community where children shyly offered their earliest drawings. This moment shaped the initiative’s commitment to long-term engagement rather than short-term projects.

Over eight years, PureView’s team worked with approximately 15 to 20 children each year through a one-to-one exchange model with youth volunteers. To date, the initiative has involved around 400 youth and adult volunteers across five rural regions, adapting formats including online exchanges during the pandemic to maintain continuity.

The exhibition features hundreds of artworks and archival materials, including artworks created by participating children.

It also documents visible change within Dagaji Village, where water systems have been installed, new shops have opened and children from the earliest years of the project have reached new milestones, including university enrollment. Younger siblings now continue their journey with the project, taking up the brush in the same classrooms where their older siblings once began.

A timely exhibition for Singapore

This exhibition arrives at a moment when Singapore is placing greater focus on youth development, community arts and cross-cultural understanding. As regional inequalities widen and post-pandemic recovery continues, initiatives like PureView highlight the role of long-term arts engagement in building empathy, resilience and connection across diverse communities.

A social practice shaped by continuity, not funding cycles

While often compared to art NGOs, PureView operates as a long-term cultural and educational practice rooted in field research and repeat return visits. PureView is grounded in Dr. Jie Li-Elbrächter’s long-term research in art anthropology and rural development. The work prioritises children’s agency, ethical observation and relationships built over many years rather than seasonal programming.

PureView was co-initiated by Dr. Jie Li, an art anthropologist specialising in rural development, together with three children from the project, Letian, Luan and Luna. The children have grown alongside the initiative and now take on significant roles, helping shape the project’s direction and ensuring that the stories of participating communities remain their own.

Opening programme and community collaboration

The exhibition opening featured guided tours led by youth volunteers in both Chinese and English, reflecting the project’s practice of “children drawing children”. A Peking Opera presentation introduced by volunteers in earlier field visits was also part of the programme, demonstrating how cultural traditions travel and evolve through education.

ANTA Group supported the initiative by providing apparel for volunteers and children over two consecutive years. Through repeated workshops and field visits, the apparel brand supported a sense of equality and belonging for children.

This support fosters a shared identity and stable experience during workshops and field activities. ANTA’s involvement reflects its belief that physical education and aesthetic education work together to strengthen confidence, resilience and self-expression.

Introducing the International Youth Art Biennale

At the opening, PureView announced the launch of the International Youth Art Biennale in 2026. The biennale will begin with participation from China, Southeast Asia and selected international partners, focusing on children and youth aged 8 to 18.

The biennale will emphasise long-term engagement, care and continuity rather than competition. Schools and youth groups will be able to join through open calls, curated partnerships and online collaborative programmes designed for accessibility to underserved communities.

Scaling impact while maintaining depth

From 2026 onward, PureView will adopt a dual-track model that continues in-depth field visits while offering expanded online courses. This model is expected to reach approximately 3000 to 5000 rural children each year while preserving the ethics and depth of the project’s long-term practice.

The exhibition is a quiet reminder that when time, care and creativity travel together, even the smallest gestures can illuminate an entire community.

EcoFlow Technology Inc is preparing to file for an initial public offering in the United States that could make the Shenzhen-headquartered portable power specialist one of the most high-profile mainland technology firms to seek equity funding on American exchanges, according to people familiar with the matter. The company is working with financial advisers and is exploring a share sale that could raise several hundred million dollars, signalling growing investor appetite for clean energy and battery technology stocks despite volatility in global markets.

The draft IPO plan represents a strategic pivot for EcoFlow as it seeks broader capital access and enhanced global recognition. Backed by HSG, the firm formerly known as Sequoia Capital China, EcoFlow has grown rapidly by tapping into surging demand for portable and home battery solutions used for outdoor recreation, emergency backup and renewable energy integration. Market participants suggest that the public listing could value the company at billions of dollars, though final pricing and timing remain under consideration.

EcoFlow’s potential move to a US exchange underscores the increasingly international ambitions of Chinese technology manufacturers. While many domestic companies opt to list on local boards such as Shanghai’s STAR Market or Shenzhen’s ChiNext, EcoFlow’s planned New York or Nasdaq debut highlights a shift among select innovators seeking to capitalise on deeper liquidity and global investor bases. Industry analysts note that the IPO could open doors for other clean energy and hardware enterprises from Asia if executed successfully.

Founded in 2017 by former engineers from the drone industry, EcoFlow has established itself as a leading global supplier of portable power stations and energy storage systems. Its product lines include the DELTA and RIVER series, which have gained traction among consumers and businesses looking to reduce reliance on fossil fuel generators. The company’s expansion has also been punctuated by new product launches and partnerships in major retail chains, broadening its footprint in the United States and Europe.

Industry observers say EcoFlow’s performance in the US market will be closely watched by investors assessing the health of hardware-oriented technology firms amidst broader economic uncertainty. Portable power and battery technology have seen increasing interest as climate change concerns boost demand for resilient and sustainable energy solutions. Analysts point to strong year-on-year sales growth through online and in-store channels, including collaborations with national warehouse clubs, as evidence of the company’s commercial momentum.

The proposed IPO is expected to involve at least $300 million in primary share sales, though people familiar with the discussions caution that the figure could shift based on market conditions and investor feedback. An offering of this scale would position EcoFlow alongside a select group of cleantech and energy storage names that have reached public market debuts in recent years. Executives and bankers are said to be conducting roadshows and investor engagements to gauge demand and refine the company’s messaging ahead of filing.

Financial advisers engaged by EcoFlow are reportedly preparing registration statements and compliance documentation required by US regulators. This process typically involves scrutiny of business models, revenue figures and risk factors, and the company will need to articulate its strategy for scaling production, managing supply chains and navigating potential geopolitical tensions affecting Chinese-linked firms listed abroad. If cleared by regulators, the IPO could take place in the first half of next year, subject to market receptivity and pricing dynamics.

Investors familiar with EcoFlow’s trajectory describe the company’s leadership as focused on diversifying revenue streams through both consumer-facing products and partnerships with enterprise clients. The product portfolio emphasises modular and scalable energy solutions that can serve residential, commercial and recreational needs. Market research suggests that consumer interest in backup power and off-grid energy has been buoyed by extreme weather events and grid reliability concerns in developed markets, further enhancing appetite for resilient technologies.

Critics caution that hardware companies face challenges maintaining margins and growth rates as competition intensifies and component costs fluctuate. They note that EcoFlow will need to demonstrate sustained profitability and efficient supply-chain management to satisfy public investors, particularly in an environment where tech valuations are more scrutinised than in prior years. Effective communication of long-term strategy and risk mitigation will be key to fostering confidence among institutional and retail shareholders.

Hong Kong-based Almad Group and Dubai-based Wafi Group have formalised a strategic partnership aimed at tapping the fast-expanding animation, retail and cultural entertainment market in the Gulf, marking a notable deepening of commercial and cultural ties between East Asia and the Middle East.

The agreement, signed on December 11 in Dubai, brings together Almad Group’s lifestyle and cultural development arm, K11 by AC, and Wafi Group, one of the city’s established real estate and hospitality players. At the centre of the cooperation is the creation of a new joint venture entity, Wafi Anime 11, designed to anchor animation-led retail, immersive entertainment and intellectual-property-driven experiences in the UAE, with an eye on regional expansion.

Senior executives and representatives from both sides attended the signing, including Richard Cheung, group chief executive of K11 by AC; Dr Adrian Cheng, founder and executive chairman of K11 by AC of Almad Group; Sheikh Mana bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, founder and chairman of Wafi Group; and Sheikh Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, director of Wafi Group. The presence of Dubai Chambers’ executive vice-president for international relations, Salem Al Shamsi, underscored the broader trade and investment significance of the deal.

The partnership goes beyond a single retail concept. According to the framework outlined at the ceremony, Wafi Anime 11 will serve as a platform for developing themed cultural and entertainment projects, hosting IP-exclusive activities, and curating experiences aimed at both residents and international visitors. These initiatives are intended to align with Dubai’s wider strategy of positioning itself as a global hub for creative industries and experiential tourism.

A key commercial pillar of the agreement involves leasing and brand-entry cooperation for Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland labels seeking a foothold in the Middle East. The partners plan to introduce a portfolio of lifestyle, fashion and cultural brands that reflect contemporary Chinese creativity while adapting to local consumer tastes and regulatory environments. This approach reflects a growing trend among Asian brand owners to use Dubai as a gateway to the Gulf and wider Middle East and North Africa markets.

Tourism collaboration also features prominently. Almad Group and Wafi Group will roll out targeted incentive strategies aimed at visitors from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, encouraging longer stays and deeper engagement with Dubai’s retail and cultural offerings. Under the plan, travellers will be guided towards premium hospitality assets such as Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk and Raffles Dubai, both located within or adjacent to Wafi City, while being introduced to curated shopping, dining and entertainment itineraries.

Wafi City itself is expected to play a central role in the initiative. Long known as a mixed-use destination combining retail, hospitality and leisure, the complex will host several of the new animation-themed and IP-driven concepts. The partners believe this integrated environment provides a ready-made ecosystem for blending retail with storytelling, live events and digital engagement, a model increasingly favoured by younger consumers and families.

Another element of the cooperation involves the expansion of Gentry Club, a private members’ lifestyle concept, into the Middle East and North Africa. While details remain under development, the inclusion of Gentry Club signals an ambition to build community-based, experience-led offerings alongside mainstream retail, catering to affluent and culturally engaged audiences.

Richard Cheung said the agreement followed extensive groundwork and market analysis. “Our team has been studying the Middle East market since 2024 and is well aware of its immense development potential,” he noted. Cheung added that the first phase of cooperation would focus on brand introduction and ecosystem building, with several flagship labels representing Chinese cultural aesthetics expected to open by 2026.

Industry observers see the partnership as part of a broader shift in how cultural IP and retail are being deployed globally. Animation, gaming and character-driven franchises are no longer confined to screens or merchandise, but are increasingly used to anchor physical destinations, from themed malls to pop-up exhibitions and interactive spaces. The UAE, with its diversified economy, strong tourism flows and appetite for experiential formats, has emerged as a testing ground for such concepts.
