China’s online retailers have begun offering the iPhone 18 Pro at discounts of up to 900 yuan only two days after pre-orders opened, cutting the effective price of Apple’s new flagship below its official launch level before retail sales begin.

The 256GB iPhone 18 Pro was listed on Pinduoduo at 9,099 yuan on Monday after platform and store incentives, compared with Apple’s official mainland China price of 9,999 yuan. The reduction is being funded through retailer subsidies and coupons rather than an official Apple price cut.

Pinduoduo’s offer combined a subsidised platform price with a 600-yuan store coupon, bringing the checkout cost to 9,099 yuan for eligible buyers. The listing indicated tens of thousands of orders and promised delivery by September 27, although availability and coupon access could change as the promotion continued.

Apple’s own online store and official channels continued to show the iPhone 18 Pro at the full 9,999-yuan starting price. Apple’s flagship store on Tmall was also focused on interest-free instalments rather than a direct reduction, while some other sellers were offering smaller incentives or trade-in-linked benefits.

Prices elsewhere were less aggressive. JD continued to display the 256GB model at 9,999 yuan when checked on Monday, while some Taobao offers relied on operator benefits, renewal subsidies or trade-in incentives. The variation showed that the headline reduction was not a uniform market-wide repricing of Apple’s newest Pro handset.

The early discount comes after Apple opened pre-orders in mainland China at 8pm on September 12. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are due to go on general sale on September 18, placing the retailer promotion several days ahead of the formal release.

Demand signals were mixed across sales channels. Several configurations became harder to obtain shortly after pre-orders opened, with delivery estimates for some iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max variants moving into late September or early October. That makes the appearance of a 900-yuan discount notable, but it does not by itself establish weak demand for the range.

Apple priced the iPhone 18 Pro from 9,999 yuan in China, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at 10,999 yuan. Both models begin with 256GB of storage and are offered in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions. Apple is selling the phones in black, silver, glacier blue and burgundy.

The company unveiled the Pro models on September 9, introducing its A20 Pro processor and a 48-megapixel Fusion main camera with variable aperture. Apple has also highlighted improved battery life, upgraded on-device artificial intelligence performance and changes to the camera system as central features of the new generation.

The pricing move underscores the intensity of competition among China’s major e-commerce platforms during high-profile smartphone launches. Retailers commonly use flagship electronics to attract traffic, deploying platform subsidies, limited-time coupons and payment incentives that can push transaction prices below manufacturers’ official levels without altering the recommended retail price.

A similar pattern has appeared around earlier iPhone launches, when large platforms subsidised new models soon after pre-orders or sales began. Such promotions can narrow the gap between Apple’s premium positioning and the prices of competing high-end phones, while also giving platforms a way to compete for customers during launch periods.

The structure of Monday’s offer is therefore important. Buyers were not receiving a 900-yuan reduction directly from Apple. The lower price depended on incentives available through the retailer, and the final amount could vary according to coupon eligibility, payment method, membership status and stock.

Apple separately offers trade-in credits in China for customers exchanging eligible older iPhones. Its official programme provides credits ranging from 900 yuan to 8,300 yuan for qualifying devices, but those values depend on the model and condition of the handset being traded and are distinct from the retailer discount on a new iPhone 18 Pro.

OpenAI has temporarily stopped new subscriptions and upgrades to its $200-a-month ChatGPT Pro tier as demand for its new GPT-6 Astra model strains computing capacity. The restriction, introduced on September 10, applies to new sign-ups for the Pro $200 plan, also called Pro 20X, and to users seeking to move to it from Free, Go, Plus or the lower-priced Pro $100 tier. Apple has unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, marking the company’s entry into a category and introducing the biggest physical redesign of the iPhone since the iPhone X. The showcase connects creative imaging with everyday printing across instant cameras, photo printers, label makers and portable A4 printers.

BERLIN, GERMANY– Media OutReach Newswire – 4 September 2026 – The global debut of the EQ3 takes center stage in Hanin’s consumer printing showcase at Booth H20-139 during IFA Berlin 2026.

Hanin

For many instant-camera users, the ideal experience sits between two worlds: the emotional pull of a large physical print and the control to shape an image before it leaves the camera. The EQ3 brings those ideas together in a square-format hybrid instant camera designed for users seeking larger instant prints.

The EQ3 draws on more than two decades of Hanin’s experience in printing technology. Today, more than 400 R&D professionals support a growing portfolio of products serving users across more than 100 countries and regions.

Edit In Camera. Print Only What Is Worth Keeping.

The EQ3 offers customizable filters, image adjustment and in-camera collage creation. Users can refine images before printing, helping reduce wasted prints without sacrificing spontaneity.

Its larger square format suits portraits and everyday scenes, while dye-sublimation printing produces durable photos. A removable battery makes replacement easier and supports longer use.

“The moment can be spontaneous; the print should be intentional,”said Shaowei Song, General Manager of Hanin’s Consumer Electronics Division. “EQ3 gives people the freedom to create first, then keep the moments that matter in a larger square format.”

The display also includes the Z1, Z2, M3, M5S, M6 and M6 Pro, spanning ZINK ink-free and dye-sublimation printing. Selected models offer built-in displays, reprinting and Bluetooth connectivity for app-based printing.

From Creative Imaging to Everyday Printing
Beyond instant cameras, the portfolio includes photo printers for smartphone images, label makers for homes and small businesses, and portable A4 printers for documents beyond the desk.

Together, the categories connect creative expression with everyday use and create opportunities for retailers, distributors and technology partners.

Hyderabad is one of TDCX’s fastest-growing locations, supported by the city’s strong technology ecosystem, deep talent pool, and growing reputation as a center for customer experience, sales, digital support, and technology-enabled services.

The India Business Process Outsourcing services market, valued at approximately US$18.7 billion in 2024, is projected to reach US$51 billion by 2035 (Market Research Future, India Business Process Outsourcing Services Market, April 2026). TDCX has outpaced this market as global clients consolidate complex customer, sales, and technology workflows with fewer, more capable partners.

Byron Fernandez, Group Chief Information Officer and EVP, TDCX, with executive oversight of the company’s India operations, said: “India has moved well past the cost arbitrage conversation. When clients choose Hyderabad for customer experience, sales, or technology support, they are choosing access to skilled, ambitious talent that can run complex workflows at scale. Our expansion here reflects how seriously global clients now take India as a primary delivery market, rather than a secondary one.”

A campus built for scale and speed
Located within the 6 million sq. ft. Meenakshi Eco Park, one of Hyderabad’s key technology corridors, the new campus is designed to support TDCX’s continued expansion in India while giving employees a workplace built around learning, collaboration, and performance.

TDCX India has achieved strong customer and business outcomes for global clients, achieving high customer satisfaction scores while supporting complex workstreams across multiple markets reflecting the strength of its delivery model and the quality of talent in the market.

Ananth Premkumar, Country Director, TDCX India, said: “Hyderabad has emerged as one of India’s leading hubs for technology, innovation, and customer experience delivery. As our clients expand across global markets, they need partners who can quickly build high-quality teams at scale. For one of our technology clients, we are able to make agents production-ready in under six weeks, helping them accelerate their go-to-market timelines. This combination of skilled talent, speed, and operational excellence is what makes Hyderabad such a strategic location for TDCX.”

Recognized as a Great Place to Work for four consecutive years, TDCX India continues to build its reputation as both a strong delivery hub and an employer of choice.

Amaris B. Clinic’s first-half 2026 enquiry figures show arm-related concerns accounted for 41.4% of all body-sculpting enquiries from women, with nearly half of those enquiries coming from women in their 40s. Medical director, Dr Ivan Puah links the trend to perimenopause, slowing metabolism and lifestyle pressures specific to Singapore.

SINGAPORE– Media OutReach Newswire – 17 August 2026 – Arm fat has become the single most common concern driving women to seek body-sculpting consultations in Singapore this year, according to internal enquiry data from Amaris B. Clinic, whose medical director, Dr Ivan Puah, is an MOH-accredited liposuction doctor.

Between January and June 2026, the clinic logged 406 face- and body-sculpting enquiries from women, of which 168 (41.4%) cited arm concerns, more than any other body area. Thirty-one women enquired about more than one area, so individual counts do not sum to the total.

The pattern is one Dr Puah says he sees consistently in practice: Arm fat that resists diet and exercise and that many patients report noticing as they enter their 40s.

Nearly Half of Arm-Concern Enquiries Come From Women in Their 40s

Among women who wrote in specifically about arm concerns, enquiries were heavily concentrated in mid-adulthood, an age range that overlaps with perimenopause for many women:

Share of arm-concern enquiries by age group Chart

Full Breakdown

Age group Percentage of arm-concern enquiries
21 –29 year-olds 4%
30 – 39 year-olds 32%
40 – 49 year-olds 42%
50 – 59 year-olds 11%
60 – 69 year-olds 3%
70 and above 1%

Nearly half of all arm-related enquiries came from women aged 40 to 49, an age range that overlaps with perimenopause for many women.

Why Arm Fat Is Difficult to Shift

Women naturally carry 6 to 11 percentage points more body fat than men, a difference tied to reproductive physiology. Genetics also influence where fat is stored, and some women are predisposed to carrying it in the upper arms, a distribution pattern that responds poorly to exercise alone.

Patients describe the concern in different ways, including upper-arm fat, “bingo wings” or “bat wings” (a combination of loose skin and fat that moves with the arm), and chafing where the arm rubs against the body.

Dr Puah points to two overlapping life stages as the main physiological drivers:

“Perimenopause and menopause are the two life stages we most consistently see linked to arm fat in the clinic. As women approach these stages, metabolism slows, and that shift tends to show up first in areas like the arms and underarms. It’s most noticeable in women with an apple-shaped body distribution,” said Dr Puah.

Hormonal changes associated with ageing, often compounded by stress or poor sleep, can make the body more prone to storing fat and losing lean muscle mass. Skin also loses elasticity with age, which Dr Puah says contributes to the looser, softer contour some patients describe.

Climate, Fashion and Workplace Culture Add Visibility

Singapore’s climate means sleeveless and short-sleeved clothing is worn year-round, keeping arms visible for most of the year. Dr Puah says this, combined with grooming expectations in client-facing and corporate roles, contributes to why arm concerns generate more enquiries in Singapore than they might in cooler markets.

“In Singapore’s climate, women are more conscious of how their arms look in everyday clothing, and arm sculpting is consistently among the most common requests we receive for this concern,” said Dr Puah, who chairs Singapore’s Lipo Peer Review Committee.

Not All Arm Fullness Is the Same, Clinic Says

Dr Puah cautions that upper-arm fullness is not uniform from patient to patient. For some women it is predominantly fat. For others, it is a combination of fat and skin laxity, with genetics, hormonal changes and age all shaping the tissue involved.

“Many women are surprised to learn that arm fat is often genetically predetermined and resistant to exercise. A proper evaluation helps clarify what’s driving the concern and sets realistic expectations for what can be achieved. The rise in enquiries reflects growing awareness that stubborn arm fat is a physiological issue, not a failure of willpower or fitness,” said Dr Puah.

The clinic’s data points to a broader shift: arm concerns are no longer a secondary consideration for patients but a leading driver of body sculpting consultations among women in Singapore, particularly during the perimenopausal transition.

Note on methodology: Figures are drawn from self-reported enquiry records logged by Amaris B. Clinic between 1 January and 30 June 2026 and reflect enquiries at this clinic only; they are not a population-representative survey of Singapore women.

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 14 August 2026 – From 23 to 25 July 2026, the ninth Franchise Expo Malaysia 2026 was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). As one of China’s leading new-style tea brands, NINGJI was invited to participate and quickly became one of the highlights of the exhibition with its distinctive brand appeal.

During the event, Dato’ Liew Bin, President of the Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA), visited the NINGJI booth. The two parties exchanged views on NINGJI’s brand development, product offerings and expansion plans in the Malaysian market.

Backed by a proven store model and a comprehensive overseas support system, NINGJI attracted strong interest from high-quality investors throughout the event. Over the three-day exhibition, the brand successfully signed agreements for 20 new stores, bringing its total number of contracted stores in Malaysia to 82. Potential partners across multiple regions also expressed interest in establishing strategic partnerships with the brand, demonstrating NINGJI’s growing appeal in international markets.

Through product tastings and immersive interactive experiences, NINGJI also strengthened its connection with local consumers. The event generated several thousand new member registrations, building a valuable base of first-party customer data for future localized marketing initiatives.

As one of China’s leading new-style tea brands, NINGJI began its global expansion at the end of 2024. To date, the brand has signed agreements for more than 150 overseas stores across Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia and other markets.

In Malaysia, NINGJI currently operates nine stores, with more than ten additional locations in development. Its network is steadily expanding across key commercial districts, while the brand continues to strengthen its influence throughout Southeast Asia.

Five Localization Strategies for Malaysia, Ningji’s Anchor Overseas Market

With its young and diverse population, well-established food and beverage sector, and year-round tropical climate, Malaysia provides highly favourable conditions for refreshing fresh fruit and lemon tea beverages.

Against this backdrop, NINGJI has identified Malaysia as one of its core overseas markets and is systematically advancing its localization strategy across five key areas: store network development, supply chain infrastructure, product portfolio, organizational capabilities and brand marketing.

Expanding Across Key Commercial Districts and Empowering Every Store Through Digital Intelligence

NINGJI will use Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru as two strategic hubs, drawing on its proven store operating experience to establish a more refined system for site evaluation, store development and project management.

The brand has built strong digital capabilities, including an end-to-end digital system covering site selection and daily operations, as well as four AI-powered agents that provide franchise partners with integrated, data-driven support.

While steadily expanding its store network and market coverage, NINGJI remains equally focused on store-level operating quality and long-term profitability. The brand aims to build a high-quality retail network that reaches a diverse range of commercial districts and serves a broad customer base.

Strengthening the Local Supply Chain with a Forward Warehouse in Malaysia

Supply chain capability is the lifeline of any new-style tea brand. In China, NINGJI operates seven warehousing centres, manages more than 2,000 mu of lemon orchards. These capabilities have laid a solid foundation for the brand’s continued expansion.

NINGJI believes that genuine localization means combining the capabilities of its headquarters with local market resources. The brand plans to establish a forward warehouse in Malaysia by the end of the year.

Once operational, the facility will enable efficient “T+1” delivery across Malaysia’s key regions, helping stores reduce the risk of stock shortages while significantly lowering the amount of capital franchise partners need to commit to inventory. It will also provide strong logistical support for the continued expansion of NINGJI’s store network.

Balancing Classics and Innovation to Create Products for Local Tastes

NINGJI’s menu centres on fresh fruit lemon beverages paired with whole-leaf tea. Its use of fresh ingredients and made-to-order hand-shaken preparation gives the brand strong cross-cultural appeal and makes its products naturally suited to international markets.

In Malaysia, NINGJI has chosen not to simply replicate its existing menu. Instead, the brand has adopted a “signature products for customer acquisition plus localized innovation” strategy.

On the one hand, proven bestsellers led by Superior Taste Award-winning YaShiXiang Lemon Tea have launched in Malaysian, on the other hand, NINGJI continues to refine its ingredient transportation and storage solutions while developing products tailored to local flavour preferences and market conditions.

In addition to its consistently popular core products, NINGJI has already launched its new pineapple series in Malaysia. The well-received Lemon Milk Series is scheduled to make its official debut in October.

Moving forward, the brand will maintain a quarterly product launch cycle and continue using localized flavours and product innovation to energize the market.

Establishing a Regional Headquarters and Building a Professional Local Team

Local talent is essential for any brand seeking to establish deep and lasting roots in an overseas market.

NINGJI has already assembled a professional team in Malaysia covering local site selection, store development and operational management, and the team continues to grow. This will further enhance the brand’s responsiveness throughout the entire store development journey, from preliminary site selection and opening preparations to daily operations.

NINGJI also plans to establish a regional headquarters in Malaysia and further strengthen its partner support system across staff training, marketing and operational management.

By working alongside local franchise partners who share its commitment to long-term growth, NINGJI aims to expand the market and create greater opportunities together.

Communicating Across Cultures Through Localized Design and Marketing

NINGJI aims to become part of the everyday lives of Malaysian consumers.

In terms of visual presentation, the brand retains its signature yellow and green colour palette while incorporating local aesthetic preferences. Through its “one store, one design” approach, NINGJI creates open and comfortable social spaces tailored to different locations and communities.

From a marketing perspective, the brand will continue to engage with local festivals and cultural trends while collaborating with Malaysian KOLs and KOCs. By connecting social media content with offline experiences, NINGJI seeks to build an emotional relationship with consumers that goes beyond the products themselves and genuinely become part of the local lifestyle.

During its Kuala Lumpur market launch, for example, NINGJI invited Elyn Leong, a Malaysian member of the girl group Gen1es, to serve as “Store Manager for a Day.” Supported by extensive social media promotion, the “Lemon Tea for the Whole City” campaign generated more than one million views and tens of thousands of user-generated interactions across Xiaohongshu, Instagram and Facebook.

Committed to Long-Term Growth, NINGJI Creates Multidimensional Cultural Dialogue Through Localization

NINGJI believes that true globalization is not about simply replicating an existing model. It is a process of deep integration, continuous learning and ongoing refinement.

The brand continues to adapt its products, operations and communications to the consumer characteristics of each market, moving beyond simply “going global” towards becoming genuinely embedded in local communities.

A representative of NINGJI’s overseas business division said:

“Malaysia has a young, diverse and dynamic consumer market and is an important part of NINGJI’s international growth strategy. In the second half of 2026, while steadily expanding our store network, we will further advance the localization of our products, operations and brand communications. We will also continue strengthening our local team and supply chain infrastructure while building long-term relationships with more partners who understand the Malaysian market.”

Looking ahead, NINGJI will continue to build on its product strength and in-store experience while exploring diverse forms of collaboration with local business organizations, content creators and industry partners.

Starting with a cup of fresh fruit lemon tea, NINGJI aims not only to become part of Malaysian consumers’ everyday lives, but also to work alongside local partners to unlock new growth opportunities in the freshly prepared beverage market.

Apple’s annual sales in India surpassed $10 billion for the first time, strengthening the country’s position as one of the technology group’s fastest-growing consumer markets.

Revenue for the financial year ended March 2026 rose from nearly $9 billion a year earlier, driven mainly by demand for iPhones, Mac computers and services. The increase came as Apple widened its company-owned retail network, expanded financing options and deepened distribution beyond the largest metropolitan centres.

The performance marks a sharp acceleration from the roughly $8 billion recorded in the year ended March 2024. It also underlines Apple’s ability to gain ground in a price-sensitive market where devices using Google’s Android operating system account for the overwhelming majority of smartphone sales.

The iPhone remained Apple’s largest source of revenue in the country. Sales were supported by premiumisation in the smartphone market, trade-in programmes and instalment plans that reduced the upfront cost of devices. Older iPhone models also continued to attract buyers after price reductions following new product launches.

Apple does not disclose country-level sales in its global financial statements. The India figure reflects sales booked through its local operation and may include products distributed through company stores, online channels, authorised resellers and large electronics chains.

The company now operates six physical stores across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune and Noida. Its latest outlet opened in Borivali, Mumbai, in February, adding to Apple BKC, Apple Saket, Apple Hebbal, Apple Koregaon Park and Apple Noida.

Further retail expansion is being prepared, including another store in Bengaluru. Apple has also been recruiting specialists, technical staff and customer-support employees for multiple locations, indicating that its direct-sales presence will continue to grow.

Company-owned stores offer Apple greater control over pricing, product presentation and after-sales support. They also provide space for training sessions, product demonstrations and technical services, helping the group build customer loyalty in a market where many purchases have traditionally been made through third-party retailers.

The Apple Store online, launched in 2020, remains an important part of the company’s strategy. It allows customers across the country to access trade-ins, custom Mac configurations, education pricing and direct delivery, including in cities without a physical Apple outlet.

Apple’s sales expansion has coincided with a substantial increase in local manufacturing. Contract manufacturers Foxconn and Tata Electronics have raised iPhone assembly capacity, while suppliers are expanding component operations to support a broader production ecosystem.

The country is expected to account for about a quarter of global iPhone production during 2026. Apple has also been working to supply a larger share of devices sold in the United States from factories operated by its partners in the country, reducing dependence on China.

The manufacturing network includes operations in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, with further investment planned in assembly, enclosures, display components and semiconductor-related infrastructure. The expansion is being supported by production incentives and proposed tax concessions for foreign companies supplying equipment to contract manufacturers.

Authorities have proposed extending exemptions covering machinery provided to electronics producers until 2041. The measures are designed to reduce tax uncertainty for global suppliers and encourage longer-term investment in mobile phones, laptops, tablets and wearable devices.

Local production has helped Apple avoid some import duties and improve product availability. However, the company still relies heavily on components sourced from abroad, and manufacturing costs can remain higher than in China because of logistics, tariffs and a less developed supplier base.

India delivered another record quarter for Apple during the three months ended June. Mac sales reached an all-time high in the country, while demand for iPhones and other devices continued to expand.

Globally, Apple reported revenue of $109.42 billion for its fiscal third quarter, up 16 per cent from a year earlier. iPhone revenue climbed 22 per cent to $54.25 billion, while Mac revenue advanced 29 per cent to $10.35 billion.

Despite its growth, Apple remains a relatively small player by unit volume in the country’s smartphone market. Its share is considerably stronger in the premium category, where consumers are showing greater willingness to spend on high-end devices, financing plans and connected services.

Amazon’s market value crossed $3 trillion for the first time on Monday as accelerating cloud revenue and artificial intelligence demand pushed its shares to a record high. The stock gained about 5% to trade near $285 in New York, valuing the ecommerce and cloud-computing group at roughly $3.08 trillion.
