SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 15 September 2026 – The Carnival Fair, Singapore’s carnival event and rental specialist, is happy to announce that it has crossed 1,200 events delivered since its founding, cementing its position as one of the country’s most trusted names in carnival experiences. The milestone spans a client roster of more than 700 brands, covering corporate functions, school carnivals, birthdays and family gatherings.
Founded in 2019 by Jaylon Lim and Joshua Luah, both of whom cut their teeth working part-time at an events rental company, The Carnival Fair was built on a simple observation: Singapore’s events scene had genuine appetite for a specialist who took carnival experiences seriously, from properly maintained equipment to staff who know how to run a booth and hold a crowd.
That foundation has since grown into a catalogue spanning carnival classics such as ring toss and bouncy castle rental, themed booth setups with custom props and backdrops, and a tech-forward lineup including claw machine rental, racing simulators and VR/AR stations. Clients looking to rent carnival games for a single booth or an entire event footprint can now draw from one of the broadest catalogues in the local market, withcarnival food rental options available to round out the experience for guests. The breadth was on full display at flagship events such as the City Harvest Church Christmas Carnival at Suntec City, which drew around 10,000 attendees across a multi-day operation, and the Biotronik “Carnival Around the World” celebration, which paired globally themed food stations with bespoke branding to mark a genuine company milestone.
Underpinning the growth is a price-match guarantee, ensuring clients who find a comparable like-for-like quote from another Singapore provider are never short-changed on price or quality.
Reaching 1,200 events reflects sustained demand from Singapore’s businesses, schools and families for carnival experiences done properly, and marks just the beginning as the company moves further into full event planning rather than rentals alone.
With demand continuing to grow across corporate, education and private segments, The Carnival Fair is expanding its interactive and technology-driven offerings, including holographic claw machines, racing simulators, VR/AR stations and interactive digital games, while deepening partnerships with venues and recurring corporate clients.

METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Media OutReach Newswire – 13 September 2026 – Green GSM Philippines will host the Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Festival from September 12-14, 2026, expected to bring together up to 5,000 current and prospective Driver Partners, with the handover of 1,000 electric vehicles to Green Driver Partners as the centerpiece of the event at The Tent in Las Piñas City and Green GSM’s depots. The event aims to meet the growing demand for the green transition among Driver Partners and the public transport community, while marking a new step in the expansion of Green GSM’s service ecosystem in the Philippines.
Green GSM Philippines and Driver Partner community at the Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Day.
One of the highlights of the event is the handover of the first 1,000 electric vehicles to Green GSM Platform Driver Partners, expanding their business options and giving the driver community access to more suitable and efficient operating models. The addition of more vehicles will also help Green GSM strengthen its service capacity and better meet customers’ growing mobility needs, while contributing to the transition to green transportation in the Philippines.
Building on the cooperation between VinFast and Green GSM, the event will further introduce the vehicle rental model designed for Driver Partners, with an initial investment starting from just PHP 5,000, opening up additional business options and reducing barriers for drivers to participate in electric vehicle operations. The program reflects Green GSM’s “5 Green Promises” commitment, with a focus on providing better vehicles, suitable operating models, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for the Driver Partner community.
Under this partnership model, eligible Driver Partners can choose from VinFast electric vehicles such as the 4-seater Herio Green/VF 5 and the 7-seater Limo Green. These all-electric models are designed to meet the needs of service operations, offering smooth performance, ease of use, and optimized energy, maintenance, and servicing costs compared with gasoline vehicles in the same segment. Through support programs for pioneering partners, including free charging and VinFast warranty coverage of up to 7 years/160,000 km for the Limo Green and the VF 5/Herio Green, drivers can significantly reduce operating costs, improve business efficiency, and increase their long-term earnings.
As part of the event series, Green GSM continues to reaffirm its long-term commitment to the Green Driver Partner community in the Philippines, with a focus on enhancing service quality, professionalism, and community engagement through the launch of the Global Green GSM Driver Partner Community in the Philippines. The Community serves as a platform to connect and support Driver Partners, while strengthening engagement across the broader Green GSM ecosystem.
Through the Community, members will be able to share and learn from one another’s experiences in operating electric vehicles and providing mobility services, stay updated on the latest information and policies, and work together to build an increasingly professional, connected, and sustainable Driver Partner community.
Through the “Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Festival,” Green GSM is committed to supporting the sustainable development of the driver community in the Philippines, raising awareness and encouraging the green transition, while expanding livelihood opportunities for drivers to increase their income. At the event, Driver Partners will have the opportunity to test-drive VinFast electric vehicles, receive answers from Green GSM regarding electric vehicles, learn about relevant policies and benefits, and receive prompt assistance in completing the registration procedures required to transition to providing services with electric vehicles.
The event forms part of Green GSM’s development plan to strengthen its ability to meet market demand, with the goal of providing more vehicles, faster service, and progressively higher service quality in line with five-star standards, delivering a more satisfying experience for customers on every green journey.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Trang, CEO of Green GSM Philippines, said: “Through the Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Festival and Car Handover Week, Green GSM aims to accompany the driver community in its development and expansion while enhancing both quality and professionalism. We seek to create more livelihood opportunities for drivers to access optimized and efficient operating models that can significantly increase their earnings. At the same time, we expect the event to inspire and help lay the foundation for the next phase of green mobility development in the Philippines.”
Green GSM currently operates electric taxi services in key urban areas across the Philippines, including Metro Manila in Luzon, Central Visayas, and Mindanao. Its two service offerings – Green GSM Car and Green GSM Limo, a 7-seater Premium Taxi – cater to customers’ diverse mobility needs.
In addition to its direct operations, Green GSM is expanding partnerships with local taxi operators to accelerate the green transition through diverse, flexible, and cost-efficient partnership programs.
Going forward, Green GSM will continue improving service quality and expanding its network, consistent with its “5 Green Promises” commitment, with the aim of raising service standards and contributing to greener urban mobility in the Philippines./.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has urged BRICS members and partner countries to link payment systems, expand local-currency trade and open markets more widely as India presses for stronger economic integration across the grouping.
Addressing the BRICS Business Forum in New Delhi, Goyal said greater connectivity between national payment networks, including systems modelled on India’s Unified Payments Interface, could lower friction in cross-border commerce while supporting wider use of members’ own currencies.
His proposals were aligned with the economic agenda carried into the BRICS summit, where leaders backed further work on facilitating trade and investment settlements in local currencies and improving interoperability between payment systems. The approach stops short of creating a common BRICS currency and instead focuses on practical links between existing financial infrastructures.
BRICS leaders encouraged the New Development Bank to expand local-currency financing and diversify its funding base, complementing efforts to make cross-border payments faster, cheaper and safer. Officials have stressed that the objective is not a single currency, but greater use of national currencies where commercially practical and mutually agreed.
Goyal said UPI now handles more than 250 billion transactions annually and is accepted in 11 countries. He urged BRICS economies to explore linking their payment networks, promote trade in each other’s currencies and expand digital commerce alongside cooperation in emerging technologies.
The minister coupled the payments proposal with a call for easier market access. He said BRICS economies should open their markets to one another’s products, including raw materials and critical minerals, while simplifying regulatory procedures and accelerating the clearance of consignments.
Goyal argued that resilient supply chains required two-way trade rather than dependence on one-sided flows. He said non-tariff measures impose higher export costs than tariffs in 88 per cent of countries, making regulatory obstacles and customs delays a central concern for companies seeking to trade across BRICS markets.
The push comes as intra-BRICS commerce has expanded sharply. Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said trade among BRICS countries rose from $84 billion in 2003 to nearly $1.2 trillion in 2024, underscoring both the scale of the bloc’s market and the potential gains from reducing transaction and financing costs.
Agrawal also highlighted the global trade-finance gap, estimated at about $2.5 trillion, and said BRICS should improve access to affordable working capital for exporters. The Jaipur Consensus, agreed by BRICS trade ministers in August, provides a basis for examining a common mechanism to help smaller businesses obtain finance against confirmed orders and reliable payment records.
Trade ministers have also advanced a 2026-2030 action plan on global value chains, including BRICS Connect, business-to-business partnerships, digital trade documentation and possible platforms for strategic supply chains and investment promotion. These measures form part of a broader effort to make trade flows more diversified and less vulnerable to disruption.
Goyal identified agriculture, pharmaceuticals, engineering, electronics, automobiles, auto components and services as sectors with scope for deeper cooperation. He called for closer links between startup ecosystems and urged agri-tech companies to work jointly on solutions for farmers and food security.
Services trade was another priority. Goyal said BRICS members should make it easier for professionals to move across borders and work towards greater recognition of professional qualifications, arguing that services markets needed to become more genuinely accessible.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, speaking at the same forum, said supply-chain connectivity, trade facilitation and innovation had become central to BRICS cooperation. He also pointed to digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence, financial technology and advanced manufacturing as areas offering opportunities alongside questions of standards, security and trust.
Russia’s Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov separately supported stronger alternative payment arrangements, saying the share of Russia’s export settlements conducted in dollars and euros had fallen sharply over the past three years. He also promoted work on a proposed BRICS grain exchange and closer cooperation among special economic zones.
OpenAI will not pursue an initial public offering this year, chief executive Sam Altman has said, arguing that mounting questions over artificial intelligence safety make 2026 the wrong moment to take the company public. Altman said OpenAI did not feel pressure to proceed with a flotation and indicated that safety and alignment work should take priority over the demands that would come with public-market ownership. “Given everything […]

VinFast has signed memoranda of understanding with 13 dealer groups to develop 27 new showrooms across the Philippines, advancing a plan to build a 60-dealership network in the country during 2026.
The Vietnamese electric-vehicle maker said the proposed outlets would span Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, extending its reach beyond major centres such as Metro Manila and Cebu into markets including Cagayan de Oro, Tacloban and Subic Bay. The sites are expected to combine vehicle display, customer consultations, sales and after-sales services under VinFast’s global showroom standards.
The agreements, announced on September 11, bring together Elite North Auto Cars Inc., MG Gateway Mantrade Corp., Grand Canyon Multi Holdings Inc., Britannica United Motors Incorporated, VF Auto Sto Tomas Inc., GR8 Marketing Motors Inc., ARCMA Motors Corporation, Autonomics Motor Corp., Gershom Car Trading Corp., Areza Motor Sales Inc., Central Auto Resources Inc., Autolink Global Motors Inc. and Greenport Mobility Inc.
VinFast said the partners’ distribution experience and regional networks would help accelerate expansion and improve access to its electric cars and support services. The company did not disclose investment values, opening dates for individual locations or how many of the 27 sites would provide full workshop facilities.
Antonio Zara, chief executive of VinFast Southeast Asia, said the Philippines remained a key market in the company’s longer-term regional and global plans. He said VinFast was seeking to develop not only its retail footprint but also products, services, infrastructure and the wider electric-vehicle ecosystem, working with local partners to make battery-powered mobility more accessible.
The latest dealer push builds on a network expansion already under way. VinFast said in April 2025 that it had reached agreements with six Philippine dealers to establish more than 60 new showrooms, including planned locations in Metro Manila, Quezon City and other urban centres. Its third-quarter 2025 financial disclosure later said the company had nine showrooms operating nationwide, underscoring the gap between announced development plans and sites actually opened.
That distinction remains important for the new programme: the 27 outlets are covered by memoranda of understanding and are expected to be developed, rather than being newly opened locations. VinFast’s stated target is to develop a total network of 60 dealerships in the Philippines in 2026.
The company has also been adding after-sales and charging capacity as it seeks to reduce practical barriers to electric-vehicle ownership. VinFast previously signed an agreement with Motech aimed at bringing up to 63 service workshops into its authorised repair, warranty and maintenance network. It has also worked with other service partners and has promoted charging infrastructure through V-Green, the charging-network business associated with the wider Vingroup ecosystem.
VinFast entered the Philippine passenger-vehicle market with a battery-electric range that has included the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7 and VF 9. At the Philippine International Motor Show in June 2026, the company displayed its broader mobility offering and highlighted programmes combining vehicle access, charging and transport services.
Its expansion comes as carmakers compete for position in a Philippine electric-vehicle market supported by government measures intended to encourage cleaner transport. The Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act established a national policy framework for EV adoption, charging infrastructure and industry development, while tariff measures have lowered import costs for qualifying electric vehicles and components.
Dealer coverage is a central challenge for newer entrants because buyers expect servicing, spare parts and warranty support alongside vehicle sales. VinFast has increasingly used local dealer partnerships across Southeast Asia and other markets rather than relying solely on company-owned retail outlets, allowing it to add sales points faster while drawing on established operators’ local knowledge.
The 13 new partners are expected to help VinFast reach customers across several island groups, where distribution and after-sales logistics can be more complicated than in a single contiguous market. VinFast has separately worked with logistics providers in the Philippines to support vehicle inspection, distribution and servicing as its product range expands.

New report, authored by GSMA Intelligence in partnership with Huawei, released at UNESCO’s Digital Learning Week
Digital literacy – not coverage – is the main barrier keeping 3.1 billion people offline.
AI could potentially widen the digital literacy gap.
Bridging the usage gap could boost global GDP by $3.5 trillion from 2023 to 2030.
Citing Huawei’s Skills on Wheels initiative, the report urges policymakers, telcos, and tech vendors to treat AI literacy as critical infrastructure.
PARIS, FRANCE – Media OutReach Newswire – 10 September 2026 – More than one in three (38%) people remains offline despite being covered by mobile broadband – and a lack of digital literacy skills is often to blame, according to new research published today.
The new report, “Bridging the Divide: Enhancing Digital Literacy in the AI Era,” authored by GSMA Intelligence and produced in collaboration with Huawei, identifies a digital divide impacting 3.1 billion people caused by a shortage of digital skills, user trust and AI literacy.
AI raises both access and risk
Existing industry projections suggest closing the capability gap could add around $3.5 trillion to global GDP by 2030, with more than 90% of those gains flowing to low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Physical mobile broadband coverage currently reaches 96% of people worldwide.
The report, unveiled at UNESCO’s Digital Learning Week, suggests artificial intelligence could act as both a bridge and a barrier for underserved communities. AI-powered voice assistants and applications that work with images, audio and video can all help low-literacy users bypass the need to input text. At the same time, they raise the security and critical-thinking standards required to participate safely. However, the study warns that users must now be able to understand data privacy and identify risks such as fraud and deepfakes.
The research cites World Bank statistics that GenAI literacy represents the highest-value skill category, with wage premiums up to 36%, far exceeding returns for both digital and traditional AI skills.
Without targeted interventions in basic digital training, the authors warn, rapid AI adoption risks entrenching existing inequalities even in areas with full network coverage.
Mobile classrooms build skills in remote areas
Digital inclusion initiatives typically target those most at risk of digital exclusion, including rural and remote communities, children and teachers in rural schools, older people, and women and girls.
The report emphasizes the need for community-based delivery models, citing Huawei’s Skills on Wheels initiative as a field-tested example — particularly its solar-powered DigiTruck mobile classrooms, which bring hardware, rural connectivity and hands-on training, including AI literacy, to off-grid regions.
Since 2019, training courses delivered by Skills on Wheels projects have reached more than 130,000 people across 21 countries, with more people benefiting indirectly. DigiTruck trainers encourage trainees to share their new skills, which is shown to occur in practice. A report on DigiTruck by Kenya’s Ministry of Information, Communications and Digital Economy shows that 79% of DigiTruck trainees surveyed had passed on their newly acquired digital skills to family members and peers.
Policymakers urged to treat AI literacy as core infrastructure
To bridge the usage gap, the report urges policymakers, telecom operators and technology vendors to work together and focus on four priorities:
Treating practical AI awareness, online safety and information verification as a baseline national qualification.
Adopting multilingual voice and conversational interfaces across public services to minimise user-side technical hurdles.
Scaling up mobile learning units through cross-sector partnerships that combine operator connectivity, vendor technology and local NGO networks.
Measuring performance by independent task completion and fraud resilience rather than trainee numbers.
“Digital literacy can no longer be defined by static thresholds,” said Tim Hatt, head of research and consultancy at GSMA Intelligence. “Connectivity alone is insufficient — capabilities, system design and trust must evolve together. To capture this multi-trillion-dollar opportunity, stakeholders must integrate layered AI literacy directly into daily livelihoods through trusted community channels.”
“Mobile classrooms have demonstrated immense value in helping underserved populations break through physical and psychological barriers to technology,” said Gavin Allen, Executive Editor-in-Chief at Huawei. “We will continue working alongside local governments and industry partners to drive digital literacy, ensuring that no one is left behind as we transition into the AI economy.”
A new DigiTruck program will launch in France this autumn, covering several cities in the Île-de-France region and targeting low-income and underserved communities with digital skills training.
Q1: What is the main purpose of this report? A: The report analyzes the critical importance of enhancing digital skills in the AI era, highlighting digital literacy as a layered and evolving capability. It calls on all stakeholders to collaborate in accelerating global digital inclusion and skill development.
Q2: What does it mean for policymakers to treat “AI literacy as core infrastructure”? A: It means shifting policy focus from just building physical base stations to funding human capabilities. The report urges governments to integrate baseline AI awareness, online security, and media verification into national qualification frameworks, treating digital skills as an essential public utility alongside electricity and broadband.
